♻️✨ DID YOU KNOW WE HAVE A PRE-LOVED SHOP AT SHOWBIZ ACADEMY?

Growing out of dance shoes and uniform can get expensive, so why not give our Pre-Loved Shop a try?

👟 Looking for Jazz shoes?
Take a peek in the grey basket in reception – we currently have lots of pre-loved pairs looking for new dancing feet!

Each pair is bagged and labelled with the price and the name of the student they belonged to. If you’d like to buy a pair, simply hand the cash to Rachel, and we’ll make sure it gets back to the parent to put towards their dancer’s next pair. 💕

👕 We also currently have Showbiz T-shirts available for just £5!

And remember, if your dancer has outgrown their Jazz shoes or Showbiz clothing and they’re still in good condition, why not pass them on for another Showbiz student to enjoy?

Save a little, recycle a little, and help another Showbiz family at the same time! ♻️

🎭 WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEK BACK AT SHOWBIZ ACADEMY! 🎭

What a fantastic first week back! It was so lovely to welcome all our performers back through the doors and we certainly got straight to work! 🌟

🌈 Our Little Performers started with a fun acting class, building confidence, imagination and creativity. This was followed by song & dance, working on balance, stretching and strength, before learning a beautiful dance to “A Million Dreams.”

🎶 Our Juniors kicked off with acting, followed by dancing to “A Million Dreams”, and then had lots of fun singing a wonderful Disney Sidekick Medley. 🎤

🎪 Our Inters certainly “Came Alive” in dance! They also worked on a fabulous Greatest Showman Medley in singing, alongside a brilliant acting class. 🎭

🌟 Our Seniors focused on their dance technique and learnt a dance from "Our House" the musical. In Singing they worked on the beautiful “Found/Tonight” they also had a fantastic acting class. 💫

And what better way to finish than bringing THE WHOLE SCHOOL TOGETHER to work on our Greatest Showman Medley!

THE PERFORMER WHO GETS CORRECTED THE MOST 🎭🎤💃

Sometimes the dancer, actor or singer getting the most corrections isn’t the one doing the worst.

Sometimes, they’re the one the teacher knows can give more.
The one with potential waiting to be pushed.
The one who’s ready for the next level — and needs more detail, more challenge and more attention to get there.
Not every correction is criticism.

A correction can mean:
“I see what you’re capable of.”
“I know there’s more in you.”
“I’m not going to let you settle for less than your best.”
So don’t be discouraged when the notes keep coming.
Listen. Apply. Grow.

Because sometimes, being corrected means someone can already see the performer you’re becoming. ✨

Strong, graceful arms can make every dance move look bigger, cleaner and more confident!

Beautiful arm lines don't just happen—they're built through strength, control and practice. Keeping your arms lifted throughout a routine helps you perform with energy from beginning to end.

🌟 Here are a few fun ways to build stronger dance arms:

🙌 Hold your arms out to the side for 30 seconds at a time.
💪 Make big circles forwards and backwards to strengthen your shoulders.
🩰 Practise moving slowly between arm positions with control.
🎵 Dance your routine while focusing on keeping your arms lifted and stretched.

Strong arms help frame your movements, improve your posture and make every performance look more polished.
