Towers Sporting News!

Well done to all the Year 7 boys who attended the football trials in the second week of term. The high level of talent made selecting the squad for the District Tournament an exceptionally difficult task.
A huge congratulations to the tournament squad, who finished 1st overall against schools across both the Folkestone and Ashford District. Thanks to this fantastic performance, the team will compete in Division 1 this season—a remarkably promising start to the year!
⚽ ⚽ ⚽

Well done to the Year 9 Football team who beat Brockhill 5-0 in their first game of the season!

Another well done to the Year 10 Football team who beat John Wallis 4-2 in their first game of the season, especially after being 2-1 down at half time!

Yet again, well done to the Year 8 Football team who beat The Harvey Grammar school 3-0 in their first game of the season!

We have had a brilliant start to the Netball season, with over 80 students attending training!
Fixtures start in the upcoming weeks so watch this space for incoming results and updates! District Tournament dates are as follows:
Year 7- Wednesday 18th November @ John Wallis
Year 8- Wednesday 11th November @ John Wallis
Year 9- Wednesday 14th October @ The Folkestone School for Girls
Year 10- Wednesday 7th October @ The Folkestone School for Girls

Towers School were very proud that two of their students were in the shortlist of 28 and performed at the final - Charlotte in Year 8 and Evi in Year 13.

Evi won silver in the 16 - 18 category with her poem from the theme 'Eerie'.

Well done to our silver Duke of Edinburgh students who successfully completed their rearranged final expedition this weekend. The delay only make them more determined and the staff were blown away by their maturity and perserverence. Amazing stuff!
