📅 It's that time of year... my diary is officially open for bands/musicians
We're looking for original and covers bands, all genres.

We get inundated year-round with amazing musicians and bands that want to play at Old Dairy, however, it's quite a process trying to fish through all the messages, emails, phone calls and business cards we get left. We had set up an email so it all goes into one place and is a bit easier for me to manage.

Please don't be disheartened if you don't hear back, like I say, we get a lot of requests and It takes a long time to get through them all, and I have my day to day running of a bar to do as well.

David Bowie's Philosophy on Art and Creativity In the 1997 documentary Inspirations, David Bowie shared his thoughts on why people create art and what drives true creativity. For Bowie, art was a way of exploring identity—a process of understanding who you are and where you fit within the wider world. He believed that creativity loses its power when artists become focused on meeting expectations or pleasing an audience. The most meaningful work, in his view, comes from taking risks, exploring uncertainty, and entering unfamiliar territory. Although psychedelics have often been associated with artistic inspiration, Bowie had a different perspective. He experimented with L*D a few times but felt that his own imagination was already powerful enough without external influences. In a 1976 interview with Pl***oy, he explained that the experience produced interesting visuals but did not provide anything he felt he couldn't already access through his own creativity. Bowie's approach reflected a belief shared by many great artists: the most important discoveries often come from looking inward and having the courage to explore ideas without knowing exactly where they will lead.
