Summer Solstice Run with and other

A great event on a very hot day 🥵

I went along to support some members of Ashford Striders at the Embrace Ultra Summer Solstice Run last weekend that included two athletes Jayne Hatton and Eleanor Weekes who are currently training with me for TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026.
A really hot day but some great running and a fantastically organised event by the guys at Embrace Ultra.
Jayne did the 6 hour event and completed just over 20 miles and Elle did the 24 hour option and called it a wrap at 50 miles.
Well done everyone 👌❤️

For runners, strength and conditioning (S&C) isn't just about building big muscles—it’s about building a chassis that can handle the relentless mileage. Every time your foot hits the ground, it absorbs two to three times your body weight. S&C prepares your tendons, joints, and muscles for that impact.

This was a great session with Ashford Striders led by Vicky Stevenson who is the clubs leader in S&C
