Hello everyone! ☀️

We hope you have all had an amazing week! The children have been busy having lots of fun and exploring different activities at preschool this week. 🌟

Here’s what we’ve been getting up to:

🦔 Creating hedgehogs through arts and crafts
🚂 Building train tracks of different sizes
🦖 Learning colours using small dinosaurs
📚 Enjoying lots of stories in our quiet reading corner
🌿 Exploring our dinosaur sensory tray
🔷 Creating with magnetic shapes
🎨 Making playdough with different textures
🐾 Recognising different animal sounds
🧩 Exploring with Zoob mobiles
🐹 Helping to care for our guinea pigs and tortoises

The children have also had the opportunity to explore and play with all the lovely new toys we brought in yesterday! These resources will support their learning, encourage exploration, and help them develop confidence as they take safe risks. We can’t wait to see all the exciting ways they will use them!

A little reminder

As the weather begins to change and we head into the colder months, please ensure your child comes to preschool with a warm coat to keep them cosy on those chilly days.

Hiya everyone! 😊

As you may have seen, unfortunately we have had to close due to the water shortage issues.

In the meantime, we as staff have been making the most of the situation by changing things around and adding new toys, activities and games for the children to learn, explore and enjoy. 🧸🎨🧩

We can’t wait for you all to see the new things we have added to the room when we reopen!

🌈 Hiya everyone! 🌈

Another amazing week has gone by! 💕 It has been a really full-on and exciting week, with lots of exploring, learning and fun! 🥰✨

We have been exploring:

🔷 Shapes and matching the names to the correct shapes
🎨 Connecting coloured dots with their matching coloured lines
🐛 Following patterns to create worms
🩺 Role-playing as doctors and nurses
🌍 Small world play and learning about different jobs
🐞 Animals and bugs in the world around us
🏗️ Building tall towers in the construction area
🌈 Matching colours together and naming each character
💦 Water play and exploring cause and effect through pouring

☀️ Garden Snack Time 🍎

The children also enjoyed having their snack outside in the garden this week and making the most of the lovely sunshine! 🌞🌳 It was lovely to see them enjoying their snack in the fresh air. 💛

🌾 Harvest Donations 🌾

Some of you may have seen the box in the hall asking for harvest donations. This week, someone came in from The Well to pick up all the lovely items you donated. Thank you for your generous contributions. 🥫

The children were very excited and had the opportunity to learn about harvest and what it means to donate food to help other people in our community. 🥰

A big thank you to the New Well for receiving our donations and for supporting the local community. 💕🤝

Sign of the Term

Lastly, from next week we will be introducing Sign of the term! 🌟

This will encourage the children to learn simple signs and develop their communication skills, helping them to better express their wants, needs and feelings. 🗣️❤️

We would really appreciate it if you could practise the signs with your children at home too. 🏠. This will help them to build confidence and use their new skills both at home and in preschool. 🌈

Please can children come into preschool with a bag containing everything they may need during their time in the setting:

Nappies (if needed)
Wipes (if needed)
👕 Spare clothes
💧 A clear water bottle with your child’s name clearly labelled

What an amazing week it has been! 🥰 We have been having lots of fun, exploring, learning and playing! 🧸🎨🌟

🎨 Textures and colours, as well as colour mixing in the craft area
⚖️ Weighing and measuring
🧑‍🍳 Playdough!
🍚 Different ways to pour and play with rice and making sounds with it
💇‍♀️ Hairdresser role play
🫧 Enhancing our finger motor movements by sticking and popping bubble wraps
🏃‍♀️ Obstacle course in the garden
🎶 Creating and making music in the garden
🚲 Riding and climbing
🐻 Vets role play

It has been such a fun and exciting week, full of exploring, discovering and learning through play! 🌟🧡🌱

🎒 Reminder: Please can parents and guardians bring their children's bags in with them when they attend morning, afternoon and all-day sessions. Please make sure bags are filled with:

👕 Spare tops
🧦 Spare socks
👖 Spare bottoms
🧷 Nappies (if needed)
🧻 Wipes (if needed)
👜 Anything else your child may need throughout the session

And remember, water in their clear labelled bottles, please.

We hope everyone has had an amazing summer! ☀️🌈

This week, we have been saying hello to our new friends 👋😊 and enjoying lots of time playing and exploring together.

We have been settling back into preschool and getting ready for lots of fun and learning throughout the academic year! 🎨📚✨

This week, we have been busy playing and exploring with:

We have had lots of fun during our first week back! 🥰🌟 It has been lovely seeing everyone settling in, making new friends and enjoying being back at preschool.

📢 A little reminder:
Please can children come dressed appropriately for the weather. Please also make sure their bags are packed with spare clothes and anything else they may need during their preschool day. 👕🎒

💧 We also ask that children bring a clear named water bottle filled with water each day. 💦
