It was so lovely to see so many of our Woodcote children representing their different organisations during the Remembrance Parade this morning.

🇬🇧🌟 Massive News! 🌟🇬🇧

We are beyond proud to share that Ashton Adcock has been called up to the Great Britain Sevens squad! 🇬🇧🏉

At just 18 years old, Ashton has achieved something truly incredible. Earning a place among some of the very best in the world as GB Sevens prepare for their international tournaments in Dubai and Cape Town. On the HSBC circuit.

As the team travelled down to Exeter on the bus for today’s game, Ashton received an email that would change everything. The Red Roses staff had decided to put her forward for the GB Sevens squad to help enhance her development and continue her remarkable progress as a player.

In true Ashton fashion, she stayed completely humble, quietly sharing the news only with the girl sitting next to her and messaging her coach. Moments later, her coach announced it to the whole team, revealing that he had actually known for two weeks and had been bursting to share the incredible news. ❤️

To think that at just 18, Ashton has already represented England, signed with Loughborough Lightning, and now been invited to train with GB Sevens, is simply unbelievable. A new contract is already being drawn up alongside her PWR commitments and opening yet another exciting chapter in her rugby journey.

We are so incredibly proud! It’s hard to put into words how much this means. Ashton’s journey reflects everything that makes her special: hardworking, grounded, humble, and quietly determined. To now have the chance to train and potentially play alongside Olympians and world-class athletes is the stuff dreams are made of and she’s earned every moment.

Keep enjoying every step, Ashton. You’re inspiring so many young players and proving that with belief, dedication, and heart, anything is possible. 💫

You may be aware that some of the titles in Andrew Cope’s Spy Dog, Spy Cat or Spy Pups series include a link which has been compromised.
The link no longer takes you to the intended website about the characters in the books but to an inappropriate adult website instead with the same domain name.
If you still have these books in school or at home, we’d recommend either removing any pages containing links or blocking out the links with a permanent marker pen.
