🌿 Our new ‘Work With Us’ page is live!

☀️ After a lush few days at the Buckfast Abbey summer fair, we’re catching up with some things at BCEHQ!

☀️ It was wonderful to meet some of our favourite providers in person there, including Mindful Making Totnes whose work we really value.

☀️ We also met lots of aspiring BCE teachers, workshop leaders and coaches. Thanks to their visit we have published the new ‘Work With Us’ page on our website. Simply complete the form and upload your CV and cover letter and we’ll be in touch when a suitable opportunity comes up:

☀️ Another beautiful day here at Buckfast Abbey Summer Fair!

🌿 Highlights include:
☀️ A visit from BCE’s best little-pea-cartoon-artist (you know I’m talking about you G!);
☀️ Angelic sounds from the Rock Choir South Devon • Choirs led by Richard Toomer , and
☀️ Catchup in the shade with a fantastic SENDCO I’m lucky enough to also call friend.

🌿 We’ve been happy to meet so many families at a super accessible event today - it’s wonderful to feel helpful when parents and carers of SEND children didn’t know your service is already an approved LA provider (it’s not something they like to shout about!).

🌿 We’ll be here again for mindful pebbles tomorrow morning and hope to see you then:

🌿 The gap between decision and provision cannot be down to the luck of the draw. Can it?

🌿 Read our blog focusing on how for children with SEND and severe school anxiety, their prospects, wellbeing and clear view into the future is in the hands of others, who they often don’t know the face, name or voice of.

🌿 This person speaking for them changes often - a clear indication of the difficulties concealed behind closed doors and why they remain closed.

🌿 Information lands on one desk today and we wonder how better the child’s chances might have been if it had landed on a different desk tomorrow…

Summer is joy for many - but fear for a forgotten minority. How does it feel for SEND learners whose placement ended in July, to not know whe re they’re go ing (if anywhere ) in September?
