Our school is open to children from 7.45am for Early Birds and until 5.30pm for after school clubs and wrap around.

Look at this amazing Mugginton school timetable from 22nd February 1924, over 102 years ago! Hand-written, obviously!

We found this in school whilst preparing for summer building work.

It really is worth having a look at - the school day began at the same time but finished at 4pm & there was a lot more 'drill'.

I quite like the idea of Tuesday 3.15pm-4pm 'Songs with the Headteacher.'

We are lucky to work in a school with so much history and character ❤️

Best.One.Ever!

Over FIFTY parents (including some very speedy Grandparents) took part, one of my highlights of the entire year without a doubt.

MUGGINTON SUMMER SPORTS MEMORY 2

Sports Day!

Mugginton sports day is always special - we hold it at the cricket club and it is always fantastically attended.

Every child participates in every event & medals are awarded for the winners the following day. There's even a toddlers race!

We had wind, rain and then beautiful sunshine - look at the determination on these faces. A great day.

At the beginning of our World Cup Day (see video below), I took a group of our keen runners to do a loop of Racecourse park. As we were on our way back, a helicopter landed 50 metres from us!

It was the brilliant team from the The Air Ambulance Service responding to an incident.

The pilot was kind enough to invite us over to see the helicopter and equipment inside. They do amazing work (did you know they can get to anywhere in the East Mids in around 15-20 mins & carry blood packs & a doctor on board?).

Congratulations to this superstar for being chosen as our Sportsperson of the term.

She is a phenomenal runner; fearsome football and throws herself into absolutely everything she does. A very worthy winner of the Gayton Trophy.
