We have limited spaces left this year. No registration fee. We offer 3 free settling in sessions

🧸TEDDY BEARS PICNIC🧸
Pack your picnic, grab your favourite teddy, and join us for a day full of fun, laughter and special memories with our staff and families from across our Edith Rose Nurseries!

We’re so excited for our Annual Teddy Bears Picnic on Saturday 18th July at the New Windsor Community Centre. With face painting, a mobile farm, temporary tattoos, body glitter, an ice cream van, a dedicated baby area and even a fire engine visit (emergency dependent!), there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

🐛THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR🐛
Last week, our Caterpillar room explored the much loved story - The Very Hungry Caterpillar! 🐛
Our Caterpillars watched real caterpillars grow and transform before setting our butterflies free, supporting their Understanding of the World 🦋
They strengthened their fine motor skills by pushing pom poms through fruit-themed holes, supporting their physical development 🍓
They got creative and made their own colourful caterpillars with tissue paper and glue, supporting their Expressive Arts and Deisgn 🎨
And of course… alongside friends, they tasted some of the delicious foods from the story too! Which supported their Personal, Social and Emotional development🧁
Another beautiful example of how our little ones are constantly learning through play! 💜

🌍EARTH DAY🌍
Yesterday the Butterflies got creative as they explored our planet! The children started the morning with a tuff tray filled with blue and green rice, shaped to look like Earth, and they used their fine motor skills to explore using spoons and different sized containers. 💙💚
They then worked together to create a giant Earth picture, using glue and tissue paper to bring it to life. 🌍
In another tuff tray, the Butterflies had cotton pads and coloured water. They used pippets to suck up the coloured water, then squeezed it out on the pads and watched as the colours merged together to create another beautiful piece of art! 🎨
Through these activities, the Butterflies were developing their fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, creativity, understanding of the world and also sharing and teamwork. This is a key example of how much children learn through play 💜
