HOOKS!

A busy day full of our hooks - welcoming our children into their topics for this half term.

EYFS - The children have started to make their superhero masks. They will cut these out and add some holes for the eyes. 🦸‍♀️

Years 1/2 - The children found a golden key that opened doors to different mysterious worlds. They had to travel around the school to find all the magical doors. 🗝️🚪

Year 3/4 - The children have mummified oranges and created the River Nile to start their Egyptian topic. 🇪🇬

Year 5/6 - The children have created Motte and Bailey Castles from the Norman Era. 🏰

What a fun filled day of learning 💚

WOW!!
We have had an incredible first few days back at school; it is like we have never been away 🏫

Firstly, we have welcomed our new families to Yapton Primary who have given us 60 new smiley faces this week ☺️
The children have loved being in school, getting to know their adults and learning about their classrooms dynamics. They have settled well into their new routines 📚

The rest of the school have been busy working away creating an insane amount of work based on our PSHE unit ‘Being Me’ which is centred around ourselves as individuals and how we feel/see ourselves but also our role within school and our classes!
All classes have agreed on a ‘Class Charter’ to abide to when working across their Key Stage.👑

WELCOME BACK!!

Teachers have been working hard today to ensure everything is ready and that the children enjoy their first three days back with us!
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all and your smiley faces in the morning 😀

In the meantime - cast your memory back to 6 weeks ago to the end of term.
The children were busy completing their final topics for the year and publishing some brilliant pieces of work!
The teachers have displayed these for all to see on their return 🏫
It is great to have some colour back 🎨

Thank you to all of our families for another great year - we hope you all enjoy a restful summer.

We have been made aware there was an issue with the last ‘Weekly News’ where some have not received it - whilst we attempt to fix the issue, we will share the ‘hook’ pages here as this was the key takeaway from the news!

An exciting return for the children in September!
These will start on Monday 7th September as the first 3 days will be a PSHE focus!
