Dear Parents/Friends/Staff,

We would like to give notice of the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Friends of Arnold view, to be held on 24th September 2026. The meeting will start at 2.30pm.

The PTA plays a vital part in the school community and all parents, as members of the PTA, are invited to support the AGM. This is your chance to be elected or elect others to the PTA committee, showing your support for our new association. Nominations should be sent in advance of the AGM for anyone wishing to stand as an Officer or Ordinary Committee Member, for the first time.

The AGM is also an opportunity for you to agree and adopt a constitution, this will form the rules and regulations of our PTA.

💙 A HUGE thank you to all of the amazing local businesses who generously donated prizes for our Summer Fair raffle! 🎟️

Thanks to your kindness and support, this was our 🌟best raffle yet🌟 helping us raise even more money for our school and our children. We are so grateful that you chose to support our PTA.

A very special thank you also goes to one of our incredible PTA mums, who spent weeks contacting businesses, collecting donations and organising the raffle behind the scenes. It takes a lot of time and dedication to make something like this happen, and we couldn’t have done it without you. 💐

Please take a look at the poster below and support these fantastic local businesses whenever you can. They have helped make a real difference to our school community, and we’d love to return the favour by supporting them.

🎉 It's here!!! Our Summer Fair is TOMORROW! Who’s excited?☀️🎈

Join us from 3:30pm–5:30pm at Arnold View primary school for an afternoon packed with fun, games, entertainment and community spirit!

🎟️ Haven't bought your tokens or raffle tickets yet? Don't worry, you'll be able to purchase both on the day.

To help you plan your afternoon, we've shared the list of stalls, prices and the stage running order.

🎨 Important reminder: If your child is planning to enjoy the bouncy castles, please make sure they have their turn before having their face painted or getting a glitter tattoo. Unfortunately, children with face paint or glitter tattoos will not be permitted on the bouncy castles.

We can't wait to see you all tomorrow and enjoy a fantastic afternoon of fun together!

💛🌟 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR INCREDIBLE SUMMER FAIR PARTNERS! 🌟💛

Now we’ve introduced you to them, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to all of the amazing charities, organisations and volunteers who are giving their time, talents and resources to help make this year’s event so special.

Every single one of these partners is supporting our school free of charge, helping us to raise much-needed funds while making sure our children, families and the wider community have an afternoon packed with fun, laughter and fantastic memories.

🎨 Family Hub Network - Gedling– FREE arts and crafts

👮 Nottinghamshire Police, Our local Neighbourhood Policing Team – bringing along the police car for everyone to explore

🎲 Dice and Balls CIC – FREE games, FREE balloon modelling and delicious candy floss

🎈 Bubble House Hire – generously donating their fabulous bubble house, with all proceeds from their stall going directly to our school

🐾 Sponsor a Puppy | Guide Dogs for the Blind Association – Laura sharing the amazing work of Guide Dogs, with sweet treats and dog-themed goodies (and hopefully some very special four-legged visitors if the weather allows!)

🍛 Pakora Kitchen – supplying delicious food alongside our BBQ and cake stall

🎭🎶 Our final Summer Fair spotlight… and what a way to finish! 🎶🎭

We’re excited to introduce the last two fantastic acts who’ll be keeping us entertained throughout the afternoon!

💃 Summers in Time Dance Studio
Get ready to enjoy an amazing dance performance from the talented dancers at Summers in Time Dance School. Even better, some of our very own Arnold View pupils will be taking to the stage, so let’s give them a huge cheer as they show off all their hard work and talent! 🌟

🎸 Roam Free – Arnold Hill Spencer Academy
School Band

We’re also delighted to welcome Roam Free, the brilliant school band from Arnold Hill Spencer Academy, who’ll be performing a selection of live music to keep the Summer Fair buzzing. A big thank you to their teacher, Sam, for bringing the band along to entertain us.

With live performances, free activities, delicious food, games, crafts and so much more, it’s going to be an unforgettable day for the whole community.

I know it’s hard to believe but there’s STILL MORE amazing people / organisations to tell you about who will be helping to make our Summer Fair a brilliant day for everyone…

🎨 Arnold Salvation Army
Janice and her wonderful team will once again be bringing their much-loved FREE craft activities to the fair. Their creative craft stall is always a huge hit with children and families, so be sure to stop by, get creative and take home your masterpiece!

🍛 Pakora Kitchen
No Summer Fair is complete without great food, and we’re delighted that Pakora Kitchen will be supplying us with a delicious selection of freshly prepared food. Whether you’re already a fan or trying it for the first time, you’re in for a treat!

And don’t forget, our ever-popular BBQ will be sizzling throughout the afternoon, alongside our fantastic cake stall packed with homemade goodies. There’ll be something to tempt every appetite! 🍔🍰

💛✨ Today’s Summer Fair Spotlight… showing how amazing our school community is! ✨💛

One of the things that makes our Summer Fair so special is the incredible support we receive from our own school families. Today, we’re delighted to introduce two wonderful parents who are giving their time and resources to help make the fair such a success.

🎈 Bubble House Hire 🎈

Gemma, one of our amazing school parents will be bringing the Bubble House back again for even more balloontastic fun!!!!

What’s even more amazing? Gemma and her family allow us to use their amazing bubble house completely free of charge, and every penny raised from this stall goes directly back to our school. 💛

We’re so grateful for their generosity and would love our community to show their support. If you’re looking for something unique for birthdays, weddings, baby showers or any special occasion, please give The Balloon House a follow and keep them in mind for your next celebration! 🎉

🐾 Sponsor a Puppy | Guide Dogs for the Blind Association 🐾

Laura, another fantastic school mum, volunteers as a Guide Dogs puppy raiser, helping train future guide dogs that will go on to change lives.

Laura will be joining us at the fair with a stall selling sweet treats and dog-themed goodies, and she’ll be happy to chat about the incredible work of Guide Dogs and what it’s like to raise one of these amazing puppies.

🐶 If the weather isn’t too warm, Laura is hoping to bring along some of the Guide Dogs in training.

We may also be lucky enough to welcome Buttons, the wonderful therapy dog who visits our school with his owner, Wendy. (Their attendance will depend on the temperature to keep them safe and comfortable.)

Please come along, say hello, support these fantastic stalls and help us celebrate the amazing people in our school community who make events like this possible. 💙

🚨✨ Next up… more fantastic activities coming to our Summer Fair on FRIDAY!!! ✨🎈

We’re excited to introduce two more amazing partners who’ll be helping make the day one to remember!

👮 Nottinghamshire Police
Our local neighbourhood policing team will very kindly be bringing along a police car for children (and big kids too!) to explore. They’ll have the chance to sit inside, switch on the lights and siren, and chat to the officers about their role in the community. Best of all…it’s completely FREE!🤩🙌🤩

🎲 Dice and Balls
We know how much you all love this fabulous community team, so get ready for plenty of fun with FREE games for all the family and some incredible FREE balloon modelling. If you’re feeling peckish, they’ll also be selling their delicious candy floss for just £2, the perfect Summer Fair treat! 🍭

A huge thank you to both organisations for supporting our Summer Fair and helping us create a fantastic day packed with fun, smiles and community spirit. 💛
