Welcome Back!
We are so excited to welcome all our children and families back to Our Lady of Sorrows for the new school year.

• School starts on Wednesday 2nd September
• Gates open at 8.30am

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Acorn Class children!

On Wednesday, Acorn Class will come into school in two groups:
• Group 1: 8.30am – 11.30am
• Group 2: 12.30pm – 3.10pm

All Acorn children will then come together and begin their full school day on Thursday 3rd September.

As our amazing Year 6 children perform their leavers' song, we're reminded just how quickly time flies.

Primary years... where have they gone? From those first nervous days in Acorn Class to the confident, kind and resilient young people they are today, it's been a privilege to watch them grow.

We are so proud of each and every one of you and wish you all the very best as you begin your next adventure.

We enjoyed a beautiful liturgy, they spent special time with our friends in Acorns, and had lots of fun making lasting memories together. We are so proud of our amazing Year 6 children and wish them every success as they begin their next adventure! 🌟

What a fantastic way to end the term! 💦

Our school water fight was a huge success, with plenty of laughter, and fun shared by children and staff alike. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in, and making special memories together. 🌞

We’re starting our photo highlights with our Acorns children, who had a brilliant time enjoying their very own water fun session in their outdoor area. 🌞💧

Beech Class Trip to Filey 🌊

Beech Class had an amazing day in Filey! A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and volunteers who helped make the trip such a success.

The children explored the coastline, identified geographical features, visited the lifeboat station, enjoyed a picnic, and had lots of fun playing on the beach, which was definitely the highlight of the day for many!

To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a well-earned ice cream before heading home on a lovely, air-conditioned coach.

Family Picnic 2026 ☀️🧺

A huge thank you to all the families who were able to join us for our Family Picnic on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many of you enjoying the day together.

Thank you to everyone who lent us gazebos to provide much-needed shade, and to our amazing staff whose hard work and support made the day a success.

It was lovely welcoming everyone at the gate and hearing so many positive comments. Many of our Acorns children told us it was "the best day" and that they'd been looking forward to it all year. It was especially special for our Year 6 children to share these memories with their families.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the toy and book stall too, together we raised £200 for the PTA!
