⭐️⭐️Congratulations to our winning house for term one- The Beamers who have won our Master Mc Call trophy today. Well done to house captain Kristians who was delighted to lift the cup. A very close run competition between all four houses with everyone making a great effort. Keep up the fantastic work and I wonder which house will win in term 2?⭐️⭐️

⭐️⭐️⭐️Our Christmas Fair was a roaring success last night!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our hall had over 22 wonderful stalls selling a wide array of festive arts and crafts which was brilliantly attended by our entire community. A great big thank you to all our stalls who made last night sensational!

While our hall was packed with stalls, our superb P7 pupils operated in different classrooms selling our pupils’ own crafts. Every child in our school created their own crafts over recent weeks in afterschool sessions. They were absolutely incredible!!!!!
Our P7s sorted raffle tickets, helped young visitors with arts and crafts and made everyone in school feel very welcomed. Teas, coffees and traybakes could be found in one room while another had beautiful festive backdrops for families to have their photos in. The arts and crafts room was also another room busy with highly talented face-painters and crafts galore to do.
🎄🎄Huge amounts of excitement could be found at the bottom of the school where Santa made a magical appearance in his grotto and got to chat to over 150 pupils. Thank you Santa for taking the time to visit us in Darkley PS.
💙Our P1 Open Night was another very busy room with so much to see and it was wonderful to see so many there and take in all our school has to offer on such a magical, festive night.

A huge thank you to our staff for working so hard to put this together ahead of our massive Christmas Production next week- Sleeping Beauty and our P1-P3 Tip-Toe Nativity which we have 3 shows to deliver- 1 on Tues morning with lots of pre-school children attending and another 1 on Tuesday night and again on Wednesday evening.
A massive thank you to our Friends of Darkley Parents who added so much to the occasion. Thank you to everyone who helped in any way at all and of course thank you to the wider community who always show us so much support.

⭐️A special thank you to our pupils who make our school so incredible! Each and every child played their part and we are so proud of them all. Thank you to our P7 & P2 pupils who supported us brilliantly last night. As always our pupils do us so proud!

As principal I couldn’t be prouder of what our school achieved last night and my sincerest hope is that everyone who visited our wonderful school had a brilliant evening and left with our warmest wishes for the weeks ahead.

We are organising and building towards a wonderful evening in Darkley PS for the whole community.

We are looking for small businesses in crafts, arts and food to get in touch with us in school on 02837 531484 to rent a table on the night where we welcome the entire community to come together and enjoy the warmest of welcomes to our lovely school.

A table will cost £10 for the evening and we would encourage as many of our followers as possible to SHARE this post and encourage anyone who may be interested to give us a call anytime in school or drop me an email: [email protected].
