When we closed in June, we made sure that all our school resources went to good homes but nothing could make us happier than seeing the little lives that have been touched by this parcel! Thank you so much to our former principal and friend Heather Griffin for sending a little bit of Drumsallen to Kenya. ๐

The day we said goodbye ...
It was a day we have been dreading but it was filled with fun and laughter (and there are plenty of photos on the website to enjoy) as well as sadness and tears.
So many memories, such grateful hearts.
โThere is nothing small about this place; this wee country school
For it was our world ...โ

We are all too aware of inaccurate media reports claiming Drumsallen Primary has closed. This has caused much unnecessary confusion and distress.
These stories are completely unfounded. Drumsallen Primary will be opening our doors in September and look forward to welcoming everyone back.

I spoke to a lady outside school this afternoon. She was there to mark the anniversary of her brothers death 35 years ago today.
I was so touched by the sorrow she still carried, by her bravery and by her desire for children to grow up now in a non sectarian country that she, and so many like her, have been in my thoughts all evening. It was my privilege to hear her story - JK
