ABC Tots

ABC Tots ABC Tots is a private Nursery Located in Armadale. Here at ABC Tots we take children from the age of 0 to 5 years. Our Opening times are Mon-Fri 7.15am -6.15pm.

All Staff at ABC Tots must undergo a PVG check before being employed with us. We are in partnership with West Lothian Council for funded 3 and 4yr old spaces. Staff also happily take children to their local council nursery if they are allocated an afternoon space at St Anthony’s, Armadale or Eastertoun nurseries and we are able to collect them again to bring them back to ABC Tots to ensure they do

not miss out. We also work closely with Planet Soccer who come into the nursery to deliver football classes.

The children enjoyed exploring colours in the messy room. They each chose two colours they liked, painted their hands and rubbed them together to see what happened when the colours mixed. This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, creativity and exploration as the children observed the new colours they created🎨🫟🖌️

The children also enjoyed spending time in the garden, using their imaginations to create houses and engaging in role play as mums and dads. They worked together, shared ideas and developed their communication and social skills through imaginative play🌳☀️

Today we went to bookbug, the children practiced there nursery rhymes as we sang along to all the songs and listened well to the book.

Also we got a bookbug certificate as been collecting stamps each time we have been at bookbug and it’s also one of the children last sessions ☺️☺️

Today our babies enjoyed a wonderful sensory activity exploring a lemon and lime water tray! 🍋🍈💦

The children were fascinated by the fresh citrus fruits, cool water, and different textures. They enjoyed splashing, scooping, squeezing, and investigating the lemons and limes using their hands. This play encouraged curiosity as they explored the colours, scents, shapes, and how the fruits moved and floated in the water.

Sensory experiences help to support babies’ developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, language development, and early scientific thinking through exploration and discovery. Most importantly, it was a fun and engaging way for the children to learn through play.

This was a refreshing and exciting activity filled with smiles, splashes, and lots of little discoveries!

This helps the children to build confidence when talking to others and promote a sense of community as the children learn about the different roles people have in our community🤩We also worked on road safety as we made our way around Armadale.

The children have been having fun in the garden over the past couple days experiencing different textures as they play in the garden. They have also had fun as they use their gross motor skills to make different obstacle courses!

Woodland walk🌳
The children went a walk into the woods to collect pine cones, sticks, etc to refill our bug hotel!🪲🐛
They had fun as they spotted bugs, talked about plants we could see and even thought they seen the gruffalo house!
Afterwards, they had fun at the park, SIMOA even had a turn on the climbing frame💜
