ABC Tots ABC Tots is a private Nursery Located in Armadale. Here at ABC Tots we take children from the age of 0 to 5 years. Our Opening times are Mon-Fri 7.15am -6.15pm.

All Staff at ABC Tots must undergo a PVG check before being employed with us. We are in partnership with West Lothian Council for funded 3 and 4yr old spaces. Staff also happily take children to their local council nursery if they are allocated an afternoon space at St Anthony’s, Armadale or Eastertoun nurseries and we are able to collect them again to bring them back to ABC Tots to ensure they do not miss out. We also work closely with Planet Soccer who come into the nursery to deliver football classes.

🎃🧡 Pumpkin Carving! 🧡🎃

The children had a fantastic time helping us carve our pumpkin! 🎃

We started by guessing what might be hiding inside before exploring the pumpkin together. The children loved helping to scoop out all the seeds and used their senses to talk about how the pumpkin felt and smelled. They also helped choose the shape and design of the pumpkin’s face! 😊

Our pumpkin is now in the messy room, ready for the children to continue exploring and investigating throughout the week. 🍂

We’d love to see your pumpkins from home! 🎃🧡 Please send us photos of your family’s pumpkin creations so we can see just how creative everyone is!

Happy pumpkin carving! 👻

Fun at the park!🍂

The children had lots of fun at the park, developing their gross motor skills to run, jump and climb!

Some of the children were keen to explore the forest 🌲, where we collected pine cones, sticks and autumn leaves. We also spotted some sheep and mushrooms! 🐑🍄 The children chatted about how not all mushrooms are safe to eat and that some are best left for the animals and nature.

🌦️ A gentle reminder to also bring in wellies / wetsuits as we head into the wetter, muddier weather so they can continue to enjoy their outdoor adventures whatever the weather! 💚🍁

✨ Sensory Bottle Fun! ✨

Today the babies enjoyed exploring our sensory bottles! 🍼🌈

They loved shaking, rolling and turning the bottles, watching all the different colours and materials move around inside. It was lovely to see their little faces as they watched and explored, using their hands and eyes to discover what was happening. 👀💕

A big thank you to Ali’s mum for coming into the nursery and talking to the children about her job! The children loved learning about what she does and seeing the different things she uses at work. They especially enjoyed having a go themselves and getting to experience some of the tools and equipment. Thank you for taking the time to come in and make the experience so fun and interesting for the children! 🌟
If you would like to arrange a date to come in next and speak to the children please let us know and we can arrange this as the children would love this 😊

The children enjoyed exploring colours in the messy room. They each chose two colours they liked, painted their hands and rubbed them together to see what happened when the colours mixed. This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, creativity and exploration as the children observed the new colours they created🎨🫟🖌️

The children also enjoyed spending time in the garden, using their imaginations to create houses and engaging in role play as mums and dads. They worked together, shared ideas and developed their communication and social skills through imaginative play🌳☀️
