Class of 2026 Award Winners. Well done!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support and encourage the children at our Sports Day last week. It was a very warm day, but the children coped brilliantly. Following the relay races at the beginning of this week, we are now delighted to announce that Ivel House are our Sports Day champions! Congratulations to everyone in Ivel House, and a special well done to Reagan and Ioli, who proudly accepted the winners' cup during our assembly on Wednesday.

Year 3 have had a wonderful time on their faith tour this week. We visited the gurdwara, a mosque and a church in Bedford. The children were incredibly respectful throughout the trip and learnt loads about the places of worship. The teachers were very proud of the knowledge they showed and the fantastic questions they asked.

Happy School Bag is a scheme which allows schools to easily raise funds through collecting unwanted, sellable/reusable clothing. If you are planning a declutter in your home over the next few weeks, the PFGM (Parents and Friends of Gothic Mede) could use your clothing to raise much needed funds for Gothic Mede Academy.
Happy School Bag accept donations of:
Adults and children’s clothing (not school uniform)
● Paired shoes
● Console Games and souvenirs
● Handbags, belts, hats and accessories
●Jewellery, toiletries and perfumes.

The more donations we collect, the more the PFGM will receive. Our next donation/collection date is Friday 10th July 2026. Any collection bags are accepted, but we ask that they are not overfilled. Donations were handed out in school last week, so please check your child's book bag for these. If you require more donation bags, these can be picked up from the front office. Donations cannot be accepted before 10th July 2025. The collection drop off point will be signposted on the day and will be by the schools kitchens. Please drop off your donations by 9am.

Year 3 have just left Bedford and are on there way back to school.

FRIDAY is collection day, if you're having a clear out, pop the items into a bag and bring them to school. Drop off point is by the kitchen, down the side of the school, please drop off by 9am. The more bags donated, the more money raised for our school.

After the success of our World Book Day sale, we are delighted to bring you another second hand book sale on the playground after school on Monday 6th July.
Come and browse our range of books and many any donation you wish! We will be accepting cash or card on the day!
