Arbroath Smokie kiln fires for the second time. Woohoo - great results! .marquis

Exciting firing our new fast fire kiln for the makers market. Staff from the cafe made and glazed plates for the cafe. So your cakes served there will now look quite different! Thanks .a.wilson for helping us with the kiln build in October. It was a great experience to have so much interest from visitors on the Saturday and Sunday and a treat to be firing at such a beautiful place. We even have a little stamp by symbolising an Arbroath Smokie on our pots as that is what what we have called our kiln!! In the future we hope others will join us at Hospitalfield in Arbroath, Scotland for woodfire making and firing courses.

Lovely event this weekend. Come along to makers market in Arbroath, Angus. We are firing our new woodfire kiln with plates for the Hospitalfield cafe too. Grand opening on Sunday about 12 midday. Worth a visit!

Just returned from with and lovely international group It was unbelievably hot and a 72 hour plus firing. But in the most beautiful village ever in the Portuguese mountains.
