In line with the EA advice, we have also taken the decision to close the school today and tomorrow, Friday 3 October 2025 and Saturday 4 October 2025, for safety of both students and facilitators.
All parents and students will be notified via email and message today.

Update on Emergency Early School Closure - Storm Amy
We very much regret the disruption today for schools, children and families but underline that safety is our highest priority.
The Education Authority’s yellow school buses will be transporting children from the schools that are closing early and normally have a yellow bus service, however, there might be delays to normal timetables. Yellow bus services will be prioritised for Special Schools in the affected areas. EA transport (yellow buses) for school trips and swimming have been cancelled across all areas to free up capacity for the response.
We have been liaising with Translink who are working hard to provide as many buses as possible for the early closures.
The closure decision relates to schools located in counties Antrim, Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh. They are required to close at 12 midday today, Friday 03 October 2025.
The amber weather warning issued by the Met Office applies specifically to these four counties.
Our decision has been taken in the interests of the safety of children, young people and staff.
The amber alert cited the potential for power cuts and damage to buildings, including a risk of injuries from flying debris.
