Summer music lessons wrapped up today! 🎶 What a fun session it’s been.

I’m having a couple of weeks off now, then getting back into teaching during the first week of September.

If you’re currently enrolled and I haven’t been in touch yet, don’t worry; I’ll be reaching out soon to sort out your slots for the new term.

And a big thank you to everyone who’s been in touch asking about lessons. I’ll be following up with you too as I get organized for autumn.

I’m just loving doing some summer lessons. ☀️

Today’s lessons ranged from a five year old working on pre staff reading and musical readiness, to a twelve year old working through grade 4 repertoire, with some initial, grade 1, and grade 2 students in between.

I love using manipulatives in my music studio. Scales don’t have to be boring - we were even singing scales together tonight. 😃

A lot of people don’t realise that teaching piano.(or any instrument) is not one lesson plan repeated all day. It’s constantly shifting gears based on each student’s level and needs.

And that’s what makes music teaching fascinating, and very rewarding, nineteen years on. ❤️🎶

No, really, I promise I’m coming home!

I’ve been on an amazing summer break with my family, and we all feel very rested and relaxed.

Sometimes I don’t realise how much I need a break until I take one!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays in our beautiful UK weather, and I’m looking forward to seeing some of you for summer lessons from the 22nd July onwards!

🎹 Two months left of this term, and I really can’t believe where the time has gone!

We’ve had a great week welcoming a couple of new students into the studio, and it’s reminded me all over again why I love what I do.

Every child who sits at this piano brings their own personality, their own spark, and their own pace, and I genuinely love working with every single one of them. They really do make my days.

19 years in, and I just feel so privileged! 🥰

There are just a couple of spaces on my waiting list - if you’d like to get your child started, drop me a message, and I’ll get their name added.
