Hi I'm Laura,I'm a mum of 5 & gran to five amazing grandsons & one beautiful granddaughter.I am a fully qualified childcare practitioner with over 30 years experience in childcare. I am very passionate about my role as a childminder & would like to offer a home from home environment where your children will feel safe,warm,nurtured & loved.I live with my husband David,two sons Matthew & Zak, our crazy collie's Ted & Connie & sooky wee cat Lottie. My aim is to provide your child with an environment where they are free to learn at their own pace through their own choice of interests/activities.

Wow what a busy day we've had today.First thing we got the halloween moulds out & melted some chocolate.
Elijah chose the pumpkin🎃 mould,Ivy the witches hats,🧙‍♀️Annie the spiders🕷,Kolbie the spiders🕷,Jesse the pumpkins,🎃Albie the pumpkins🎃 & Eddie the witches hats.🧙‍♀️
Then we made spiders 🕷 using oreo's & mikado's for the legs.
Mmmm yummy.
After lunch we went a wee walk to aldi & when we got back we painted a halloween ornament.
For snack we decorated a hallowen biscuit.

This morning Elijah was talking about the holidays & halloween.
So we decided to get our halloween decorations out.Everyone enjoyed going through the boxes.Keira loved the lights,Elijah enjoyed trying out the vampire 🧛‍♂️teeth & popping the corks on the potion bottles,Ivy loved the pumpkin🎃 & popping witches🧙‍♀️ fingers inside it.
We found some wooden spoons,both Ivy & Keira wanted to make green witches🧙‍♀️ & Elijah wanted to make a ghost.👻We got our paint out & got busy painting.
We then painted a hanging wooden pumpkin.While they were drying we took a walk to tesco to get something for lunch & snack.
Keira choose sausage rolls & spagetti hoops for lunch & Elijah chose ham sandwiches for snack.Ivy wanted pancakes so we'll have them tomorrow.
After lunch we added googly eyes, felt hats & capes to our witches & covered them in stars.Elijah added white felt to his ghost & sat for a length of time colouring it in & writing "happy halloween"
While Elijah was busy colouring in his ghost👻,Ivy got thd colouring in books out & did some lovely colouring in.

On our walk this morning Kolbie spotted his shadow,so we stopped to see who's was the biggest.
Then we spotted the cows big tummy & Ivy said "the cows having a baby".
Kolbie "where's the daddy?"
We spotted the bull in the middle of the field.Then as we walked a bit further we spotted some mummy cows & their calves.
We then walked to where the chestnut trees were & we found loads.We filled our pockets & the pram..After snack we placed out chestnuts & leaves in the tuff tray & counted them.Kolbie managed to find one in the shell so he opened it up.
Kolbie has been asking to play with the different colour sands & Ivy wanted to to a picture so we did both.
First we covered our paper in glue then poured our chosen colour over the top.Then we shook the loose sand of to see out amazing picture.
When Bertie went for a nap Kolbie wanted the sand in the tray,he added the wooden animals Ivy added the chestnuts.
Ivy " I'm making soup for you gran".
Kolbie " I'm making a rainbow".🌈
We mixed & stirred,filled & poured.
Ivy even gave her animal a sand shower
Bertie woke up & managed to join in the fun before going home.

Todays request from Ivy was to go to the park, but first we headed to Tesco to buy some vegetables to make some soup to warm us up.
We bought onions,🧅leeks,carrots,🥕turnip,stock cubes & lentils & some fruit,breadsticks & rice cakes for snack.
Ivy pressed the button for the green man so we could cross the road safely.We jumped on the trampoline,looked through the binoculars,slid down the slide climbed the rope ladder & enjoyed our yummy snack in the sunshine🌞.
After a while we headed home to make our soup.We chopped all our vegetables & popped them into the pan.Barnaby added the stock cubes & Ivy the lentils.Laura then put some water in & popped it on the cooker to cook.Our soup wasn't quite ready for lunch so we got to enjoy it for snack." It's delicious"- Elijah.
"Mmm yummy" - Ivy.
"Nice"- Barnaby. As you can see ut was empty bowls all round.
Barnaby & Ivy got to enjoy some free play while Bertie napped
They played with the magnetic letter & board,then the coloured shapes.
Barnaby made " a car".
Ivy " I'm making a house".

On this mornings walk Ivy found a wish & wanted to blow it & make a wish she then found one for Barnaby to.They both then huffed & puffed & blew all the fairies✨️ away.Then they walked on the stepping bricks,managing to judge the gaps in between without falling.
After snack Ivy & Barnaby wanted to paint so we got some paper plates out & painted them black,then we added some card as eyes, ears & a tail & a pink pom pom as a nose.🐈‍⬛ We then painted our halloween mummies & frankensteins we bought yesterday & got busy painting using the paints supplied with them.Bertie loved sticking his fingers in all the colours😂.
After lunch & Bertie's nap,Barnaby decided he was going to be a dentist 👨‍💻& Bertie joined him,cleaning the teeth🦷🦷then his own..Ivy enjoyed a wee time out to chill before checking to see if Barnaby had a temperature."Barnabys not well,🥵he needs some medicine"💊
Bertie was busy adding all the rings to the stacker.

This morning the children wanted to start some halloween crafts.But first we popped to the shops.On the way we held hands & discussed staying safe,then took it in turns to press the button at the traffic lights. Ivy "It's green for go & red for no"..We took turns at scanning our goodies in aldi then we all picked some tea light from the shelf at xtra special.
When we got home we glued tissue to jars
Keira - " I want a blue skeleton:☠️
Ivy- " I want a green zombie".🧟‍♂️
Josh- I want orange,I want a pumpkin".🎃
Keira added some cotton buds as bones,Josh added some green tissue as a stock & some black pen lines.Ivy added some black card bolts & hair.Then we added
our tea lights & popped the lids on our jars.Then we made some skeleton pictures using black card & cotton buds.☠️
After lunch Ivy got the large floor puzzle out & helped the girls complete it.

Kolbie wanted to make some playdough today.So after snack we got everything ready & took turns at adding everything to the bowl & we added some cinnamon so the smell was amazing.We then gave everything a big mix.Laura then gave the playdough a good kneeding before setting it up in the tough tray with some loose parts.We used the pumpkin🎃 cutters to make pumpkins,🎃we used the corks & cones to make patterns & Kolbie made hand prints to.Whilst Bertie napped,Kolbie added the trains🚂 & Ivy joined him,filling the carraiges & mark making with the wheels.
After lunch everyone was busy playing with the babies.Ivy was changing her babies clothes, Bertie was giving his baby a dummy & Kolbie wrapped up his tiger & fed it a bottle.
After a while the boys were shopping & cooking up a storm
Kolbie " I'm making chips".

After snack Ivy wanted to make some leaf pictures after enjoying kicking the leaves on our walk this morning.We printed some leaves & Laura cut them out & stuck them to black card.Ivy & Bertie enjoyed stamping round the prints with corks.Then we pulled the leaf print away to see our printed leaves on the paper.Barnaby joined us just before lunch,so once we had lunch he chose to do some leaf printing to.Whilst Bertie slept Barnaby & Ivy matched the coloured bears to the correct cupcake,then matched them to the pattern on the cards.
Once they were done we did some exercises to sticky kids,stretching,hopping & jumping.
