As I have now informed all of my lovely families, who have been nothing but supportive during this very difficult decision.

Little Lions will be closing our doors for the last time on Friday the 8th of November 2024. This has been an extremely upsetting and difficult decision due to personal circumstances beyond my control.

I have absolutely loved and adored all the children that have been on the little lions journey with me, they are a credit to their families! I have also met some incredible parents who have honestly made closing that much harder but their support has been nothing short of amazing!

Friday!

Started with some free play, which the children chose to play with the shop and food! We had some arts and crafts using the leaves and twigs we picked up the day before, we used all the leftover bits to put in our bug hotel to make it cosy for the bugs! We then came back into the warm for free play, dancing and singing, and ended the morning with story time before some lions went home or for their naps!

Thursday!

We made the most of the sun this morning and ran around in the garden! We checked on waffle the rabbit and made sure he had enough treats! They did a lot of climbing and rolling balls down the slide and playing fetch with Rex our dog! We managed to have a walk to collect leaves and other natural items for us to dry out and use for some arts and crafts next week!

Wednesday!

We played in the garden under the shelter and listened to the rain hitting the shelter until it came down a little too hard, and we all ran indoors for cover! Once the rain passed, we went back into the garden to enjoy the outdoors again! We had a great painting session! We used our fingers, brushes, sponges, and rollers to paint our pumpkins! Afterwards, we had a fun time washing our hands and getting soapy water everywhere! We ended the day with lots of freeplay! We played with the cars, babies, we danced and sung! We also played hide and seek!

Tuesday!

Fun filled day! Messy play! We had edible sand and the diggers to play with today! We loved scooping the sand and using the diggers to move the sand around. we taste tested it all 😅 and used our fingers and diggers to mark make in the sand! We then had a lovely walk around the estate and headed to the bug hotel to see if any new bugs had joined, as well as bugs being there. we found lots of ducks! After lunch, we took another walk to see the diggers at work and headed to the trusty old bridge to giggle and wave to the cars!

Monday! (Sorry late post!)

We packed in a lot!
Messy play we edible sand! Our creepy crawlies were hiding in the sand again! We named them and counted them as we found them all! We went on an adventure walk and found the best muddy puddle to run through, we had the best time waving to the lorries and cars on the bridge, big thank you to all the ones that waved, beeped and flashed their lights back to the kids they adored this! We then had a colour sort and used the balance beam and stepping stone pillows!

Thursday!

Moana has visited ☺️ we had moana playing in the background this morning as we love you're welcome! We played with the dollies, cooked some cars, and had a dance this morning! Followed by a play in the garden and some more messy play with the edible sand again, but this time, we had bugs hiding in it! The children used their scoops, pots, and fingers to find all the creepy crawlies! We got a little sticky from tasting the cheerio sand! So we had some water clean-up play! The children washed their hands and then started washing all the garden toys and furniture too! This afternoon, we have been playing with the musical toys, listening to some of our favourite nursery rhymes and having a boogie!

Wednesday!

Another beautiful busy day!
Sliding, swinging, peddling, climbing, running, and bouncing! It's another messy play, too! This time with dinosaurs, edible sand (crushed cheerios), larva (chic pea water with red colouring), and fake leaves! I think everyone enjoyed scooping, mixing, and eating it all! We hid the dinosaurs in the sand, too! We also gave Waffle the rabbit some fresh food and treats!

Tuesday!

Another fun filled day!
Beautiful weather means a day enjoying it! We have done some arts and crafts ready for our Halloween decorations! We got the chia seed slime out again and some water play, we used the water table to help clean the frogs and lily pads! We loved playing with the balls and slide and climbing!

Monday!

Late post, sorry!
We pulled apart different parts of the flowers, the petals, the leaves, and stems. We then used them to create pretty pictures! Once we cleaned up, we played with the musical instruments, cooked in the kitchen, and played hairdressers!
