The time has come for pastures new for me so I will be saying goodbye to my little friends and closing my business at the end of July. Thank you to all of you wonderful children and parents past and present, for being part of my journey and most of all for allowing me to be part of yours ❤️

Something I absolutely agree with 🥰

We've had a fun couple of weeks exploring the moon, light and dark, shadows, starry skies and going to the moon Yoga. My little friends became artists and created some wonderful 'van gogh - starry night' paintings 🎨🖌️

This is such a great page to follow, lots of amazing useful information ❤️

If you’ve ever wished you could step inside your child’s emotional world for a moment… this series is for you.

Over the next two weeks, I’m sharing A Child’s Voice — a gentle, brain-based set of visuals that puts words to what children often can’t explain yet. It’s not about “perfect parenting”… it’s about understanding what regulation really looks like from the inside out, and why connection is the starting point.

We’ll be running the full series from 2 to 16, with daily posts you can come back to whenever things feel loud, messy, or overwhelming at home.

What did they learn? 🌈

You know you love your children
And want them to have fun and play,
But in your thoughts you’re wondering
What they have learnt today?

They said they found a butterfly
And it flew up to the sky,
But they gained a curiosity
And got them asking why?

They said they drew a picture
You saw some scribbles on a page,
But they were developing their muscles
For that later writing stage.

They said they climbed a tricky tree
Though they then got a high five,
But they really learnt to keep going
And continue giving it a try.

They said they played dressing up
And became a dragon big and red,
But they were building imagination
And creativity in their head.

They said they played hide and seek
And it was so much fun to play,
But it taught them many social skills
And they made a friend today.

They said they read a story
And it had a funny rhyme,
But they gained a special love for books
To last ‘til the end of time.

So when you’re worried they’re just playing
And they might fall way behind,
Know they’re busy learning oh so much
In their body, soul and mind. 🧠 ❤️

🌳We had a perfect day visiting the community orchard. We have been looking at seeds over the last couple of weeks so we brought some fruits home to cut open and explore textures, smells and counting seeds. Lots of fun was had apple printing with paint and of course we made sure we had some left over to make delicious sugar free apple muffins 😊🍏🍂

last week my little friends had fun working their developing shoulder, arm and hand muscles by hammering flora and squashing blackberries to make some beautiful nature bunting. What a lovely addition to our entrance 🍂🍁

Perhaps you have a little one who has just started at an early years setting, childminder or school and you have noticed that after a busy day they are struggling with their emotions at pick up times.

This is called restraint collapse and is perfectly normal as they are learning to deal with all the new experiences they have had during the day. It shows that you are their safe place - that they feel they can figure everything out with you.

Take a moment to think about all the new things they have had to learn, the times they have had to cope with new feelings and emotions, to share resources and adult attention - it's no wonder that all these feelings that have been kept inside can spill out once they are with you.

To try to help give them the time and space they need, greet them with enthusiasm and rather than questioning them about what they have been up to, encourage them to share their day by talking about what you have been doing.

Perhaps they need some quiet time or a run in the park - you know your little one best.

Listen and empathise with them, acknowledging and naming their feelings. Remember that as a parent/carer we can give them the time, space and love they need.
