Presentation Evening 2026

Invitation letters have now been posted to students invited to attend our Presentation Evening on Thursday 12th November 2026.

This special event celebrates the achievements of our former students, with the presentation of examination certificates and a selection of School, Faculty, Head of Year and Community Awards.

6.30pm – Arrival
7.00pm – Formal ceremony begins

If you have received an invitation, please remember to confirm your attendance by Friday 23rd October 2026 using the reply slip or QR code included in your letter.

We look forward to welcoming students and their families for an evening of celebration and recognition.

🎁 Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2026 🎄

It's that time of year again when we come together as a school community to support those in need through our Christmas Shoebox Appeal.

Choose an age range from the poster and fill a shoebox with suitable gifts and essential items.

✔️ Wrap the shoebox in Christmas paper (please do not wrap the contents)
✔️ Secure with a rubber band
✔️ Attach a label stating the age range and whether it is for a boy or girl
✔️ Return completed shoeboxes to Mrs Bush in the Admin Office

🗓️ Deadline: Friday 13th November

Every shoebox can make a real difference to someone this Christmas. Thank you for your generosity and support.

Congratulations to our top three Inter-Tutor Competition winners! Their fantastic images have impressed our judges and earned them a place in the top spots.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries will be proudly displayed in the Library Learning Resource Centre (LRC) for everyone to enjoy.

Education Covenant Signing Ceremony

We were proud to represent our school at the signing of the Education Covenant for Armed Forces students, held at the Sparsholt College Group's Andover Campus.

Mrs Jones and Mr Allott joined schools from across the local area to come together and make this important pledge, demonstrating our shared commitment to supporting children and young people from Armed Forces families.

We are especially honoured that John Hanson School was invited to be the first school to sign the covenant, marking a significant moment in this collaborative initiative.

What a fantastic Open Evening at John Hanson!

It was wonderful to welcome so many prospective students and families through our doors last night and showcase everything that makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.

A huge thank you to our inspiring speakers, including Head Prefects Macy and Tristan, Deputy Head Mr Earle, and our incredibly brave Year 7 student Jack, who shared his experience of life at John Hanson.

We were also treated to a beautiful vocal performance from the amazing Amelia, whose singing helped make the evening even more memorable.

A big thank you to all of our students and staff who helped make the event such a success. We are incredibly proud of our school community and loved sharing it with you all.

Ready to start your John Hanson journey? We can't wait to welcome the next generation of students.
