Saturday Signs - Cat 😻

We use lots of animal signs at Sing and Sign and 'cat' is a definite favourite 🥰

You will often see the little ones in class signing 'Cat' when our beloved Jessie Cat comes out for a game of Peek-a-Boo with them 😊

My daughter used to scream with pure excitement when Jessie Cat came out to play in class 🐈‍⬛😂

The importance of Repetition

Doing things over and over and over again is how babies learn and helps them to understand what is happening and what to expect

Babies love routine! 👶

Going over your signs constantly throughout the day will help babies learn the words quicker and understand the context that the signs are being used in quicker

Babies that know what to expect tend to be happier and calmer 🥰

⭐Saturday Signs 🙌

Are you new to baby signing and want to see how it helps with communication? 👶

Just look at these little ones signing to ask for things they want, like Skye when she wants a drink or just in general conversation about where they are going like Lucy does when she signs 'Home' 🏠

No tears or frustration here!

All these amazing little ones have gone through the Sing and Sign Courses with me🥰 and I'd like to thank their parents for sending me these wonderful clips so you can see just how amazing baby signing with Sing and Sign is!!

Why do we sign with our babies? 🤔

Because it cuts out so much frustration that a non-verbal baby would normally have and helps them as their speech comes 🙌

Babies learn to understand words we say by their constant repetition

By signing the most important words you show your baby which to notice and remember

Baby Signing offers gentle and repetitious input which sparks connections of understanding and recognition in your baby's developing brain at a very early stage

⭐Saturday Signs - More 🙌

Are you new to baby signing and want to know some useful signs to begin with? 👶

Use the sign 'More'

Why? 🤔

Because babies always want more!! 😂

Whether it's more tickles, more milk, more music 🎵

You can use the 'More' sign so many times during the day

When you think your baby wants more of something such as another song, more tickles or another game of peek-a-boo, use the 'MORE' sign 🙌

Always remember to say the word as you sign it!

The more you use a sign, the more likely your baby will start to recognise it in context and anticipate what is about to happen

Tag someone you know with a baby that may be interested in Baby Signing
