Happy Face's Childcare

Happy Face's Childcare Happy Faces childcare ofsted registered 2011 is a safe and fun environment for you little ones to enjoy.

We are very much a home from home environment with lots of time out and about. I have two dogs who are in the setting with the children. I pride myself on offfering a safe and enjoyable environment for children to learn and develop. We have alot of days out to the local farms and play areas and attend local groups. I live in Andover with my husband and two children Harvey aged 4 and Finley aged 1

and our boxer dog Ruby. We have adapted our garden to offer children a safe place to grow, we have artifical grass so it can be used all year round along with lots of play equipment to aid physical evelopment. This year alone we have visited Marwell Zoo, The beach, Finkley Farm, Cholderton Farm, New forest show and we have lots more planned trips.

Havnt uploaded photos onto this page for a while. Today we had lots of fun in the garden. Not only did we learn about floating and sinking we also learnt about how things are powered by the sun. Loads of fun was had, and lots of wet clothing πŸ˜‚ but a picnic in the sunshine soon dried us off.

A quick change of the tuff tray. A bit of car playing and mark making using the water on the wheels. We also made hand prints and watched them vanish in front of our eyes. Lots of fun had, back inside now for lunch and a play indoors as its rather warm outside now.

This morning we are in the garden enjoying the lovely sunshine. We have out the dinosaurs with lots of shredded paper, grass and water. We have been hiding the dinosaurs, splashing them in water and making footprints. On child enjoyed using his pouring skills to pour water onto the tray from the watering can. Another child was telling me the names of the dinosaurs and pointing out which ones had big teeth. We then extended it by cleaning the dinosaurs and the tray with the water. The children brought out some cars so we then used these to make track marks by driving them through the puddles of water. We have been talking about things being we and dry and also watched as the sun was evaporating the water from the tray really quickly and the footprints were disappearing.

Santa delivered some new resources for the little ones. These have been carefully chosen with the children here in mind on helping to support their next steps and I love that they can be adapted to suit so many learning outcomes.

Leaving activities, always great for fine motor skills. The little ones spent a long time persevering to lace the beads onto the string, and were very pleased with themselves when they managed to do it. Also working on zips and buttons, great for helping them to learn how to do up their coats etc.
