Unless you have been living under a rock, you'll have heard of the game Wordle which has taken the internet by storm since it launched in October 2021.

According to Similerweb, the Wordle website has grown from 5,000 monthly visits in October to an impressive 45 million by the end of January 2022.

The creator of the game, Josh Wardle, first made the game in lockdown for his partner. However, after realising the game may be worthy of wider audiences, he released it to the world and this week, sold the popular game to the NEWYORKTIMES.COM for a seven-figure sum!

In addition to language and spelling knowledge, cracking the Wordle word of the day calls for strategy and logical thinking. This makes Wordle an excellent addition to eLearning because of its ability to hone in on the user's problem-solving skills while using the process of elimination.

Wordle is an impressive example of how something so simple can create buzz and encourage users to think outside the box.

Since the first lockdowns in 2020, eLearning takeup has increased faster than anyone could have anticipated.

The pandemic resulted in a massive, and rapid, shift to online learning, which naturally would have likely taken years to happen organically. However, this quick implementation of online learning meant some companies did not consider essential eLearning factors. In essence, they were learning as they went and not always taking a joined-up, strategic approach

For eLearning to deliver optimal results for businesses, there are critical points to consider whilst implementing an eLearning strategy.
