In Tiggers garden we have been looking after our growing garden. . Every day we make sure to water it and to pick out any weeds that grow. Our wildflowers are starting to come out and we have some sunflower heads showing. The flowers have encouraged lots of ladybirds, butterflies' and bees to visit, we have been watching them and talking about what we can see.

This week the children in Piglets the children have been exploring ice, we then added some paint to it and the children used paint brushes to paint the ice cubes. The children also watched the ice melting the longer it was out on the tray. Great exploring, Piglets!

One of the children in Tiggers brought a stretchy toy worm in from home for us to see so we decided to see if we could make our own worms and bugs. We found a book about different bugs and used it for inspiration to create our own , we used pipe cleaners, grass, pine cones and corks. Afterward we went out in the garden and used the magnifying glasses to watch all the bugs we found outside.

Winnies enjoyed a group game of bears honey! We made a big circle and all took turns to be the bear. We sang our song and the bear had to guess which child was hiding their honey by following the sound of the bells.

We all had a little bit of playdough and danced along to Olly Murs- Dance with me tonight. We rolled, squished and poked our playdough all while doing our best boogie-ing.

Piglets children have been enjoying their new bubble machine. The children have particularly found it funny and exciting when they have watched the bubbles blow everywhere on windy days. The children have been learning to pop it and some have tried catching the bubbles, too. What great fun playing with bubbles!

This week in Tiggers, the children have been experimenting with different ways to mark make. We tried chalk, magic pencils, crayons and paint on a variety of different surfaces. We have drawn around each other, painted a cardboard box and drew a long Road for the cars to race on.

In Tiggers the children have been exploring ice. Mariola helped the children to put some animals in water then she put it in the freezer overnight. The ice block was put in the tuff tray for the children to look at and to think about how they could get the animals out of the ice. The children had some great ideas, they used tongs, plastic cups and paintbrushes to rescue the animals.

To beat the heat, Winnie the Poohs have been having a splash-tastic time exploring a water cactus on the playground! We've all enjoyed staying cool and had so much fun making a splash with the adults too. It's been a super exploring adventure for the Winnie the Pooh crew!
