Good morning, I’m sorry to have to do this but I’m afraid due to a staff shortage we will be unable to run our daycare today (14th) and tomorrow (15th). We are required to have two staff members on site to operate safely and though every effort has been made to try and find cover staff I am afraid we have been unsuccessful. We will continue to try and find additional staff and will let you know as soon as possible when we will be able to reopen our daycare. I would like to offer sincerest apologies for any inconvenience our closer causes and assure you that we will reopen as soon as we are able. Thank you for your understanding.

Update-
To avoid confusion I would like to add that it is only our daycare that is affected by the staffing issue. We will continue to run our after school club as normal. Many thanks.

Update-15th-
As we have been unable to secure staff I’m afraid we will also have to close our daycare on Friday 16th. As it currently stands we have been able to find staff from Monday 19th and as such hope to open as normal baring any unexpected changes. We would like to offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience our closure has caused this week and thank you all for being so understanding. Many thanks.

Good afternoon, hope you are all staying safe and warm in the cold weather. Just a quick update in regards to our reopening. Having taken a walk around new road, the school and club and considered weather warnings in place over night I am afraid in the interest of safety I have decided to keep the daycare closed tomorrow. This is due to the fact that we are required to take the children to and from school more than once across a very slippery area. Should the school be running as normal and the area become less hazardous we are hoping to still open our after school club tomorrow.

As it currently stands we are hoping to reopen our daycare on Thursday morning and after school club tomorrow. However, if this changes I will let you all know as soon as possible. I apologise for any inconvenience this causes and thank you all for your understanding and patience.

Happy new year to everyone and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We are all looking forward to seeing everyone this week our new starters and ongoing club users. However, I’m afraid due to the adverse weather conditions and the risk of further snow fall and ice we will not be able to open our daycare and after school club tomorrow. We are hoping that we will be able to open on Wednesday as normal but If this changes I will let you all know as soon as possible. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, thank you all for your understand and continued support.

As we come to the end of the winter term we would like to thank everyone who has helped us to make this December magical for the children. We would like to say a massive thank you to Santa who visited the children during our Christmas party. The children loved being able to interact with Santa and his naughty elf. We would also like to say a massive thank you to Mark Jones and Ystradgynlais Tesco for the donation of selection boxes for all of the children, they were over joyed to receive their presents. We would also like to send a massive thank you to Jack Griffiths and everyone who helped by organising and taking part in Santa run on Saturday. Their hard work raised an amazing £323.53 for club. Happy 18th birthday today Jack!🎉.

We would also like to say thank you to everyone who helped to support the club through the donation of raffle prizes and the purchase of raffle tickets because of your kindness we were able to raise an amazing £286.50!. The winners of the raffle were drawn in our after school club last night by the children I will include a list of winners below. We have already contacted some of the winners or handed the prizes out where we can to their winners. Santa welcomed a brand-new elf today while I was busy enjoying Christmas crafts and festive activities with some wonderful little children this evening 🎄✨

Mama Ffrindiau’r Goedwig kindly stepped in to lend a hand at Clwb Plant Brynaman/ Brynamman Kids Club and what a fantastic little elf she was! Being 4ft 8 definitely helped 😉

As always, Sion Corn was delighted to see so many lovely local children and is now very excited for our Weekend at the Goedwig 🎅🏼 🎅🏼 We are now fully booked for all our Festive sessions! Diolch pawb!

Yesterday’s Santa parade was absolutely amazing, we can’t thank everyone enough for their support!

We’re thrilled to share that we raised an incredible £647.06, which means £323.53 for each charity. What a fantastic result!

Hi everyone, just a few quick notes. As you may be aware the school is hosting a tea with Santa activity on Thursday 11th. If you have made a booking with club could you please let us know if your child will be attending the activity and if you are still in need of after school club after the event or if you wish to pick them up from school.

We will also be holding our annual Christmas raffle this year. Please look out for the letters and raffle tickets we will be sending out through the school this week. If you would like to take part the winners will be announced on Thursday 18th. We understand this close to Christmas that funds are low but we would really appreciate any support you may be able to give whether that be by purchasing raffle tickets or donating food or other prizes towards the raffle.
