Little Missenden Church of England Infant School

It was lovey to see all those who managed to join us at church yesterday for Mothering Sunday. The children did so well singing to the congregation. We hope you are enjoying the beautiful daffodils.

World Book Day at Little Missenden! It was wonderful to see the children dressed up as their favourite book character, and sharing stories. Staff got involved too!

We hope you are all having a lovely half term. When the children return to school on Monday, they will have an additional place to play. This lovely playhouse was a gift from our year 2 leavers who we’d love to welcome back soon. Thank you to those who volunteered to build it, we are very grateful.

Our last Art Club session for this half term. The children made bird feeders. The children chose their mug and loaded them up with bird feed combined with lard. During the session we discussed what birds they may see feeding from them. A great activity to support The Big Schools’ Birdwatch.

This week in Art Club the children have been decorating paper bags to take this half terms crafts home in and making “love candles” 🕯️ 💞

Our digital artists got creative after learning about George Seurat. They enjoyed discovering pointillism and looking how colour can be used to create an imagine.

During Art Club this week, the children finished their fork painting polar bears which look fantastic. They also started a new Valentine piece. The joy the children have when in club is so wonderful to see and hear. We look forward to sharing their finished Valentine pieces.

Our first week back of 2026! It is great to see the children and start the year with such excitement. ❄️

The mission this week was to build a sleigh for Santa. The children used junk modelling to create their own design for Santa’s sleigh and they all looked amazing!

Last week the children visited the Christmas display at Waddesdon Manor that they helped create. It was a magical day - thank you for making it possible!
