Happy start of September! It's still feeling like summer in Amersham so we'll be holding onto that for a little longer whilst we prep for groups over the next week or so.

The driveway from 1976 to now. When the substation and field centre were built, they kept the original driveway to Shardeloes house. We wonder how many children have travelled down here on an adventure to Mop End in the last 50 years?

Students explored a wide range of topics including, biodiversity and woodland studies, river characteristics and flood risk, and urban regeneration and human geography. 🦋🗺📚🏙

We've seen lots of beautiful moths recently, the brightest being this Jersey Tiger Moth. Have you spotted any interesting ones this summer?

We had over 50 visitors yesterday for an awesome Butterfly family day. The children swept for invertebrates in the long grass, followed the woodland trail, admired moths from the moth trap, did some butterfly crafts and collaborated on a poem!
