Are you in a rush?
New members at The LC, and sometimes even the OG’s, are often surprised when I ask them that during a session.
Surely, more and faster is better, no? 🥴
Not always and it’s rare at The LC that we train that way.
Slower is controlled…
Slower is heavier…
Slower is lower…
Slower is stronger…
Slower is safer…
So, chill out. Take your time. Do less. Watch your progress skyrocket! 🚀

Hard work.
That's what we like to see!
I couldn't care less if it's 1kg or 100kg that you lift.
What I do care about is the effort. Turning up (even when you didn't want to) and trying.
The LC works best with ladies and gents that stop listing all the reasons why they can't and start finding the reasons why they can.
When you've shifted to that mindset, chances are, I will actually be able to help you. But, perhaps more importantly, you'll be able to help yourself.

Progress rarely comes from random workouts. It comes from doing the right things, doing them often and doing them well.
This is exactly why we don't constantly mix things up with random workouts from one day to the next.
You get stronger by repeating and practicing the same key movements over time.
Not by chasing variety for the sake of it.
Here at The LC, we don't exercise, we train and we train 1% better everytime for results, not novelty.

Here he is, LC stalwart...
Bench pressing. Surprise, surprise! 😂
In his own words...
"I was never one to consistently exercise, but these past few years at The LC have shown me I can keep a solid routine and see the benefits in my numbers"
That's him pretending to lift a bench press PB of 67.5KG for a 1 rep max. The actual PB did happen, but on the set before. It's hard for me to be on standby, ready to grab the bar off his chest if it's not going to happen, and take a picture at the same time. That picture would look completely different, and being the clown that he is, it probably exists!
