Our project is coming along nicely so far. We even have some lovely flowers to promote bio diversity.

We have had radishes, minty potatoes, fresh peas, mud pies, scented soup and even tried nasturtium flowers today!!!

A special mention to Morrisons Amble for the donation of compost and of course our star gardener/chef Kath

Look at us having an explore this afternoon…..
Shh don't tell Kath we ate some strawberries ….they were scrumptious on a hot sunny day like today.

Look at this child initiated nail bar the children created tonight using little bottles of glitter paint, and resources from the painting station 💅 the only adult input was bringing the table across for them to use (and popping in for her nails done) the children were so engrossed in this game

We’ve missed having use of our stream. It’s so refreshing for us in the hot weather ☀️ 💦

Look what happened today, Rexy left us a letter explaining all his antics last week and also some special stickers as a Thankyou for putting up with him.
It looks like that’s him gone now, gone to live out in the wild 🦖

Eliza’s Grandma noticed a Mummy bird had abandoned a nest in her garden 🐦 so they brought into nursery for us to see since we have been interested in dinosaur eggs and birds eggs recently. We decided to use our creative skills to paint pictures of the nest, and we have produced some amazing pieces of work 🐦 🥚

🦖 Just when we thought the t-Rex had gone...this happens at our breakfast area this morning!
Some of us think he has made a mess with the cereal, some of us think he was trying to make breakfast for us coming in and we’ve also been discussing whether he might have actually been hungry and tried to make himself something to eat - either way we’ve got to tidy his mess up again! 🤦🏻‍♀️
(It’s been a good sorting activity though 🍲)

Photos from Brambles Childcare Centre and Pre-School's post 27/05/2021

You’ll never guess who came back AGAIN last night! 🦖 playing tricks on the boys and girls by turning our books upside down on the bookshelf! 📚 we just wish we knew where he was hiding through the day, he’s still no where to be found!
We’re going to try writing him some letters to tell him not to make a mess in our nursery ✉️ because we don’t really like tidying up after ourselves never mind him!
This will help to develop our thinking process 💭as well as our imaginative skills and handwriting development ✍🏼 Who knew a pesky t-Rex would bring so many learning opportunities! 🦖

Photos from Brambles Childcare Centre and Pre-School's post 26/05/2021

Oh my word... that pesky T-Rex has been back during the night 🦖 and look what he’s done this time 😡 we think he’s tried to p**p in the potty, but missed and it’s gone on the floor, it also looks as though he got in a bit of a tangle trying to clean his butt!
He’s then had a bit of fun hanging out some underpants with the ‘Dinosaurs love underpants’ story!
Wait until we see him, he’ll be going on the thinking spot! 💭

Photos from Brambles Childcare Centre and Pre-School's post 25/05/2021

We’ve been looking everywhere for that pesky t-Rex 🦖 but we can’t seem to find him.
We’re hoping that’s the end of him and we don’t see him again!
We did however find a little white egg in the garden, according to Kaitlyn “it’s another clue” to the dinosaurs whereabouts 🧐

Photos from Brambles Childcare Centre and Pre-School's post 25/05/2021

Wow look what’s happened overnight 👀 the egg has hatched and the dinosaur has trashed our home corner! It’s even left photographic evidence of it’s attendance, although we can’t seem to see him anywhere in our nursery now 🦖 there’s some mixed reactions from the children! Some are shocked, some are excited and some are a bit frightened 😨

Week of 31st May (1/2 term) Only £11 for our mini sessions!!!!

Wow, we’ve noticed that the Dinosaur Egg has finally started to crack this morning...it’s attracting quite a crowd and there’s lots of very excited children now!

be kind to your mind....

Photos from Brambles Childcare Centre and Pre-School's post 11/05/2021

We’ve been doing lots of problem solving and teamwork this afternoon to make tracks to race our wheels down, some wanted higher faster ramps and some wanted slower longer ramps so they had to negotiate between themselves to find something everyone was happy with. This is quite a hard skill when you are only 3 and 4 years old.

SEED TO PLATE......

Whist we aren't having much luck with our wild garden to encourage wildlife (not even 1 flower to encourage the bees yet 🙁) our polytunnel is springing to life 🙂

Morrisons Amble kindly donated the compost and new gardening tools for the children for this.

Our very own cook Kath has been head gardener with our little helpers sowing seeds, digging and watering.

There has been so many learning opportunities so far and the plants are coming along nicely too.

Next on the list...think we need some new fruit trees and flowers 🌺🌸 to get the insects coming 🐝🦋

🦕 Wow, something amazing has happened in our Pre-School this morning, Imogen spotted a big egg tucked under our book shelf in the story corner, we think it could be a Dinosaur Egg 🦖 so we’ve decided we had better not touch it in case it breaks.
We’re so excited to see if it’s going to hatch! 🥚

In the weeks leading up to Easter we run a bonus ball for our parents for the chance to win this lovely Easter Hamper. Number 5 was the Bonus Ball on 3rd April so Stefania won the Hamper.
We have already used some of the money we raised to purchase some lovely colourful wall art to brighten up our garden fences for the children to enjoy.
