The JCSC running club ended term with a fantastic run down to the beach. We're so lucky to have some glorious running routes right on our doorstep and the club members have done fantastically this year. Running club will be returning in September 2021 and will 'run' on Thursday nights after school until 4.15 pm.

We have been overwhelmed with the number of applications received and only have a limited number of places available, based on the funding provided. All places on the summer schools have now been allocated. If you have not had a message from school then unfortunately your child has not secured a place. Should any become available we will contact other parents. If anyone's circumstances change and they no longer want the place, please email [email protected] as soon as possible so another child can benefit. Many thanks.

We are looking to provide an after school club at South Avenue from September 2021. It will be available to all students in Year 5 and Year 6 and will run Monday to Friday until 5:30pm (prompt). The cost will be £6 irrespective of the length of stay and your child will enjoy a light meal such as pasta or a toastie. Fresh fruit and juice will always be available. Our after school club will be a place where your child can enjoy fun activities with their friends, including arts and crafts, games and outdoor play or they can use a quiet space to read a book or do their homework.

To help us with our planning and staffing, we would like to gauge how much interest there would be in this provision. Please complete a short survey through the link below by Wednesday 7th July.

As part of our move over to the My Child at School App, payments for school dinner money and other school payments will close on School Gateway (SchoolComms) after this Friday July 2nd. This is the last date your child will be able to top up accounts digitally using the School Gateway app.

Students will be able to top up their account manually on the pay machines in school after July 2nd, if needed, and will also be able to take money to the school office to be added to accounts.

From September 1st, 2021, parents and carers will be able to use the My Child at School app to top up accounts digitally.

If you have not registered for an account yet, please visit https://www.mychildatschool.com/MCAS/MCSParentLogin

If you encounter any issues registering, please contact [email protected] for help.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we move over to the My Child at School app, this will bring school communication and payments together in one place.
