⭐️Important⭐️

New Date for AGM - Thursday 31st August 6-30pm

Alyth Parent Council AGM was unable to take place tonight due to lack of parents.
Unfortunately this has been the second year in a row we have come across this situation. The meeting cannot take place without the physical presence of at least 6 parents. Tonight we only had 4. 1 of which will have to step down as an office bearer due to their child being in P7.
On the flip side it was lovely to see a new face join as their child is now in P1. We need more faces. New and Old - Nursery to P7.

A questionnaire will be making its way out soon via the school apps. It would be great if this could be completed to help us understand why the meetings aren’t being attended and what people want to know about the Parent Council. These questions can then be answered and hopefully people will pop along.

Alyth Primary School Parent Council will be holding their AGM on Thursday 22nd June at 6.30pm in the school. All parents/carers of pupils at our school and nursery are welcome to come along.

Tonight 6-30-Without the Parents there will be no Parent Council - we urge to join tonight if you can to meet the minimum number to hold an AGM. This is crucial to making votes etc. No pressure to be given a role but we do need faces ☺️

Due to the number of parents attending not being sufficient to hold an AGM during our last meeting the next Alyth Parent Council AGM will be held on Wednesday 23rd February @ 6-30pm

Minimum number of Parents for an AGM to go ahead is 6 and unfortunately we did not meet the requirement for the meeting to take place.

This meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams. Please contact the school [email protected] with your email address to be sent the link.
We look forward to welcoming new parents to join us.
Each meeting usually lasts around 1 hour and are only held once each term.
There is no pressure to join and be given an administrative role however we would like to encourage parents to come along with their friendly faces and opinions. Parent Councils rely on a minimum amount of parents to be on the committee to be able to run and for votes/decisions to be made. Without this we cannot continue.
New faces means new opinions and input 🙂
The parent council is also open to Nursery Parents not just Primary Classes. We would love to have Parents from each age group.

We hope to see some of you there.
