It was truly a scorcher at Forest School today!

We kicked off the day with a blindfold game. Split into three teams, the children had to work together to collect the treasure. There was plenty of excitement and laughter and cheating going on.

Some children then headed into the woods to build a den using tarps, working together to create their very own woodland hideaway.

We also had an impromptu game of basketball, with a bucket becoming our rather inventive hoop!

Lots of creativity too, with children getting hands-on with clay creations, making colourful bracelets and building boats ready to send racing down our water shoots.

Forest School today was all about exploring, creating and making the most of the sunshine!

We made pinhole cameras ready to safely observe the eclipse later this evening, then listened to a story from Juliet before making our own little spoon fairies.

There was plenty of low energy games too, with several rounds of Shoe Bingo and Wolf and Sheep!

And to finish the day, we cooled off with a well-earned water balloon (reusable) fight.

We had some unexpected visitors at Forest School today—some friendly sheep came wandering out of the forest.
Danny from Severn Arts joined us and introduced the children to different musical instruments.
We also played Chinese whispers, duck, duck goose, told stories and enjoyed a fun water stomp game to cool down.
A lovely day of animals, music, fun and laughter!

Forest School took a little adventure of its own today! We swapped the woods for an outdoor pursuits centre and got stuck into climbing, archery, grass sledging and the zip wire. Lots of bravery and lots of fun.

Another wonderful day at Forest School!

We started the day with some fantastic African drumming, celebrated our birthday girl, finished off our beautiful crafts, and enjoyed lots of time playing with friends.

It was such a relaxed, happy day filled with laughter, creativity, and making memories. Days like these are what Forest School is all about!

🌿 A wonderful day at Forest School today! 🌿

We kept busy whittling butter knives, sawing wood cookies, drilling holes to make pellet drums, creating friendship bracelets, and getting creative with clay. So much learning, teamwork, and imagination in the great outdoors.
