What a lovely way to end the term. Over £48,000 this year has taken the total raised by Alva Academy for Macmillan Cancer Support to over £750,000. A lovely thank you assembly sharing and celebrating our journey with almost half the school. What a surprise and honour to be presented with a beautiful trophy from our Macmillan rep Maddie. We may hail from a small authority but we have the biggest heart 💚💚💚💚

A great morning at the learning all about the different Heritage Careers for some of our S4 pupils this morning. Great hands-on workshops in stonemasonry, roofing, stain glass, paint making and heritage science. Who knew you could use eggs or flour to make paint?! 🎨
