It’s been a busy few weeks in the Orange room, the children have been busy busy! Just take a look…👀🧡

Sun on your faces 😀, daffodils in full bloom 🌼, and a whole morning of fun! 💚 Green room had a blast on muddy morning!

Our little Superheroes have been complete SUPERSTARS this morning and have SMASHED, POWED and ZAPPED their way through a specially designed obstacle course (thanks Stretch-n-Grow Altrincham ) in their mission to raise funds & awareness for Prevent Breast Cancer as part of Paint Altrincham Pink ⚡️💥

Thanks also to all of the fabulous parents, grandparents, families and friends who have supported them in their efforts by sponsoring them 🥰

Active Altrincham 👨‍👩‍👧
Katie lives close to Altrincham and walks into town daily to take her daughter to Juice Children's Nurseries Ltd

"We live 10 minutes walk away from Juice, but with an active 2-year old in tow, who doesn’t want to be pushed in a pram, it’s more like a 20 minute walk. We get a bit of fresh air and gentle exercise to start the day before nursery/work. Sometimes I take the opportunity to run back home to get a bit more exercise into my working week.

We often walk back from Juice via the park so we stop for more active play at the playground. As a family we like to walk when we can, not just for the environmental reasons of not using a car, but also for the benefits of walking on our physical and mental health. Without the car it means we can take our eyes off the road and instead have a proper look around and talk about what’s going on around us.

We love how Juice keep the children active and outdoors as much as possible. They do P.E. and Stretch & Grow activities and have an interactive garden on site, but they also get out for walks to the local parks as often as the weather permits. Juice have definitely helped to build my daughter’s confidence in walking and aided her physical development overall."

Throughout this month will be highlighting all things 'Active' in Altrincham - everything from active travel, health and fitness, running, walking and cycling.

"We love being able to do our drop-off and pick-up at Juice nursery on foot. On working-from-home days it’s a chance to get a bit of exercise, some fresh air and get a bit of shopping if needed, and on office days it’s en route to the metrolink station. It’s nice to think we’re one less car on the road. We have a couple of different routes we can take on foot and really appreciate the lanes and leafy avenues of Altrincham. It also means the kids are happy to walk into town at the weekend without expecting to use the car - hopefully setting a good example for the future!

Juice make walking to nursery so easy for us - we can leave the pram there on the way to the station and it’s lovely to be right in the heart of Altrincham next to the market, the library and all the cafes of Shaw’s Rd. Harry loves his trips to the library and the local parks with Juice and they certainly keep him active, whether that be playing in the pirate look-out and climbing frame in the garden, dancing with his friends and key worker or Stretch and Grow in the lovely big space in the town hall. He often comes home and shows me the yoga moves he’s learnt!"
