Super happy with these lovely prints from my full day Easter workshop. Such a good range of ideas and responses from a very creative bunch 🎨✨ Well done!

C O L L A G E four weeks of creating! Starting with surfaces and printmaking and developing into personal ideas! It has been a real pleasure to watch this work evolve and I’m hoping I’ve recruited a few more artists to collage club! 🎨✨✂️

P A S T E L S turned out to be really cool. So impressed with how students developed their knowledge of colour and marks with this quite tricky media! Such awesome use of colour 🎨 We learned a lot and will definitely be revisiting pastels in the future!

Starting off the year with a look at pastels in my weekly classes 🎨 Some beautiful art history investigations with Degas and Redon and experimenting with different types of paper and pastels through landscape. Learning lots as we go along with this one 🤓

C E L E B R A T E It was so lovely to exhibit a selection of student artwork at the recent Christmas fair at The Hive! Showing a wide range of investigative projects and personal work, these pieces were chosen by students as some of their faves. It was a lovely addition to the fair and wonderful to celebrate their awesome talents! I am very proud of them all 🩷🎨

Work in progress from my lovely weekly class students. We are looking at the Renaissance as a starting point, bringing together figures, architectural details, pattern and a rich colour palette 🎨 ✨ I’m really looking forward to seeing these pieces complete!

P L A Y is such an important part of being creative. Letting go of making outcomes and just enjoying the techniques and processes is such a joy and often brings out our best work regardless! This project has been lovely to deliver and has encouraged students to work up a rich, mixed media surface with lots to look at. It has been so nice to see ideas emerging and people taking their own directions.

H A P P Y P L A C E Lovely day last week spent making this huge alcohol ink painting Having access to the classroom means I can scale up and have some fun! This piece is destined to be framed in sections but I wanted to work on it as one continuous image initially 🩷🎨
