Altrincham Babysitting Service

How the business began

Cunning business student, Ellie Foxford, set up Altrincham Babysitting Service back in August 2015 in an attempt to help her and her friends find local families that were in need of a babysitter. She got her friend Harina Gill on board and together they designed a business model that would allow easy coordination of babysitters with families. The business was officially launched in September 2015 and with the help of flyers and social media, was quickly recognised and utilised by a handful of local families.

After a few months of growth and advertising, ABS began to take off. The following September, Ellie and Harina took a short break from management as they began their university degrees but shortly after decided that ABS was such a valuable service that it’d be too good to lose, so quickly re-adopted the business and continued to serve residents of Altrincham and the surrounding areas with excellent babysitters.

Fast forward another year to September 2017 and we were in a position of re-branding and discussion on how to drive our business to greater growth and recognition. The jazzed-up business plan was built and ex*****on of great ideas began to take place.

With the addition of two new management members, Lauren Barclay and Rupinda Gill, the business had never been in a better position.
