Well worth following. Some great ideas 🙂
We’ve had a lot of new followers recently, so I thought I should do another little introduction Thank you to all of you for following Mud & Bloom!
My name is Anja and I have three children aged 9, 8 and 4, (this is me with my 9 year old son on the Devon coast to coast cycle route, which we did a couple of weeks ago, and which I totally recommend doing!).
I set up Mud & Bloom in December 2017, connecting children with nature is something I feel extremely passionate about. I feel there is more and more of disconnect between us and nature and I feel very sad about this for many reasons. I believe it’s so important for children to be brought up being aware of the changing seasons, experiencing growing their own vegetables and flowers, and knowing and loving the planet we inhabit. It’s important for their mental health, their physical health, our mental health and the planet! How can we expect our children to care for the planet if they’ve not been brought up to love it. I wish our education system here in the UK would just slow down and incorporate more nature into the curriculum, I believe we would have far happier and less anxious and stressed children and teenagers.
The Mud & Bloom boxes are a monthly subscription delivering seasonal nature crafts and gardening activities to your door. The boxes have been created for 3-8 year old's and the activities are based on learnings from Forest School, Steiner and Montessori education. The seeds and compost pellets are organic or untreated and the box and contents are plastic free and biodegradable where possible.
We’re currently busy preparing our lovely butterfly themed July boxes, which we’ll be posting out next week. You can order your box here 👉🏼www.mudandbloom.com/subscribe
