Alton Morris

Alton Morris Alton Morris is a lively, friendly side for both men and women, dancing in the Border style. We hail from Alton, Hampshire in the UK.

You can see us during the summer months at a variety of festivals and local pubs. From October to April we practise weekly at Alton Infant School. New dancers and musicians are always very welcome, so if you are interested please get in touch.

We had some very special guests at our DoD last Saturday, Paddy Cooper and one of her daughters Liz. Paddy's husband David founded Alton Morris and Liz also used to dance with the side! David can be seen front left in the second photo, which also features minden rose and Mayflower, and he is on the right in the second photo. Crowley certainly stole the show on Saturday 🤩 but why a crow we hear you ask!? 🐦‍⬛
❤️💚 Well, Alton Morris's red and green colour scheme is a nod to the old Alton brewery 🍻 Crowley & co Ltd used a crow as their symbol so we felt that it would be the perfect animal for our new beast!
Thanks to the two Mels! Melissa Wall for the head and Melinda Williams for the body!
Caw caw, we can't wait to see what Crowley gets up to!
