This week we celebrate our first birthday and I don’t think any picture can sum up our first year like the one below.... we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve nearly lost our minds... but we are still here going strong and doing what we do best. Thank you to everyone that’s supported us during our first year. We love and care for our ITW family so much 💞 🌳🌲🌳
*NEW* Early years providers are expected to remain open across England during new national lockdown.
Responding to the announcement, Alliance CE Neil Leitch said: "Many early years practitioners were already incredibly worried about continuing to work during this period. It is unacceptable that yet another government announcement has been made without reference to any scientific evidence explaining how those working in the early years are expected to be able to keep themselves and their loved ones safe at a time when those in schools are being told that it is simply to dangerous to go to work.
"We know that with many nurseries, pre-schools and childminders already struggling to remain afloat, any decision to close early years settings would have a huge financial impact on the sector. However, in the middle of a global pandemic that is causing hundreds to lose their lives on a daily basis, we also recognise the need to prioritise the lives and safety of practitioners, children, families and wider communities - and so far, it is not clear to what extent regard for the safety of the early years workforce has been outweighed by the government's desire to ensure that at least some parents are able to continue to work.
"The government is putting a huge responsibility on the shoulders of a sector they have, to date, provided with shamefully little support. If early years providers are expected to continue operating, it is vital that government takes the steps to enable them to do so as safely as soon as possible: that means priority access to Covid-19 vaccinations, and the establishment of a comprehensive mass asymptomatic testing regime in early years settings as a matter of urgency.
"Adequate financial support - both for those providers who are reliant on 'free childcare' funding and those reliant on private parental fees - also remains critical, especially given that early years settings are likely to see an even greater fall in the demand for childcare places as a result of the heightened restrictions announced today.
"Now is the time for the government to do what it has failed to do throughout this pandemic and make early education and childcare a priority."

Meet our new apprentice. Ellie is helping out some days during the summer to learn the ropes but will be starting her apprenticeship with us in September. I can see so much potential in Ellie and really can’t wait to take her under the into the wild “wings” 🌳🌲🌳
Hi , my name is Ellie, I’m 18 next month & live locally in Alton, after moving here when I was 2 ...my personal interests are music & fashion.
I’ve always aimed to work in childcare and studied the level 2 childcare diploma course at Alton college, after leaving Eggars school last year. I’ve been to a number of different nursery’s for work experience, but I feel ‘ Into the the wild’ gives children the chance to learn key skills through activities that are not easily developed in a classroom environment. It’s very much a hands on approach to learning.
I am really excited to be joining the team in September.
We are now taking registrations for September 2021. As it stands (unless you are currently or have recently chatted to me) we have no spaces remaining for sept 2020-July 2021.
Please do get in touch if you are interested in a space for next year... unfortunately we can currently only offer virtual show arounds.
We are very excited to introduce you to our newest teacher 🥳
May has already proven how dedicated she is to the team after braving a 7.30am car boot sale with me yesterday! 🌳🌲🌳
Hi, I’m May and I am so so excited to be a part of the Into the Wild Team! I have been a nanny for the past year, spending lots of time outside, a favourite of mine is rainy walks! I have always wanted to work with children, allowing them to express themselves freely and explore with confidence.
I have also worked in 2 nurseries, which allowed me to gain the experience and confidence I have now.. I can’t wait to get stuck in at Into the Wild!
We are very happy that we have just signed up our first apprentice at ITW, this means that we can now take a few more children on in September. If you are already on our waiting list then we will be in touch, otherwise please contact us ASAP if you are looking for a space!
