Vanessa Golborn School of Dance

Well established dance school based in Alton Hampshire, running classes in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern, Jazz as well as Street and Contemporary.

Classes run in two (or more) studios 6 days a week in the disciplines of Ballet (RAD), Jazz/Street, Tap and Modern (ISTD) in our purpose built dance studios at Alton Sports Centre. Students range from pre-school through to adults. Exam opportunities up to vocational/professional level are offered, but not pushed on students to create a supportive atmosphere for all students, whether wanting to dan

ce professionally or just as a hobby. The opportunity to perform publically is given in our bi-ennial school shows at The Anvil Basingstoke, as well as in various charity/community events during the year, as well as our choreographic competition which encourages students to develop their creative skills in dance.

TERM STARTS Monday 14th September.Excited to say the website and email is back up and working again. We are getting ready get welcome students old and new back into classes for this term, check out the timetable on our website, classes at Energique Fitness and Wellness Centre and Alton Sports centre. In order to allow students to get back into the swing of schools and for our senior students to check out college timetables our term will start on Monday 14th September - 12 week term. We have a uniform shop on the 12th September to allow everyone to try on shoes and leotards etc. [email protected]

Bookings are open and being accepted and invoiced as quickly as we can. The coacha system has sent out the new timetable. The VGDance email is still not working :( But you can message via this page. or there is a new email [email protected] that you can use for questions or anybody new to be added to the online booking system. There are a few new classes - students in Year R, new school starters get a choice of 2 classes a week, there is a new Acro class for school years 5+. A new Silver Swans Ballet class for adults 2.45pm Wednesday (there are 3 others also on the timetable) and a Brand new adult street dance class which we have had requests for - so here it is Thursday 7.45 -8.30pm. We have a problem with the website at the moment :( unfortunately it has also taken out the email linked to it. (The one i usually use) There is lots of work going on to get it up and running again as soon as possible. A temporary email may also be sorted soon. We are still able to get onto coacha so watch out for new emails via that. Bookings are due to open shortly. Meanwhile enjoy the photos of our graduating senior dancers.
