Safeguarding our children is at the core of everything we do at St Gabriel’s 💙💛
Each Wednesday, we will be sharing a safeguarding tip to help support our children’s safety and wellbeing.
Children and young people use the internet every day to learn, play and connect with others, but the online world is not always safe. This week’s provides clear and practical advice to support safer, healthier digital habits, helping children and young people to make informed and secure choices when using technology.
Thank you for working with us to keep our children safe, both online and offline.

Please see message from Mr Byrne.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your understanding in relation to today’s closure due to the difficulties caused by the severe weather.
The forecast shows no improvement for tomorrow, so school will be closed again tomorrow, Tuesday 6 Jan 2026.
I know this is inconvenient, but I’d rather make it known now, rather than making a ‘staying open and hopeful’ decision in the morning causing further stress for families.
The safety of our staff and pupils is paramount.
We will post some activities and work for your children to carry out on the class pages of the website by 10am.

Due to safety concerns, the school will be closed today to ensure the safety of our children and staff.
We will provide further updates as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding.

✨ Well done to our Key Stage 2 children for their excellent Christmas production! ✨
What a fantastic team effort from all the children and staff — they should all be incredibly proud. Christmas in a primary school truly is the most magical time, and this week was a perfect reminder of that. 🎄⭐
A special thank you to Ali Stevenson for all her hard work with ticket distribution — we really appreciate everything you do! 🎟️💛
Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special! 💛💙

✨ The most beautiful Nativity you may ever see! ✨
Our gorgeous EYFS and KS1 children truly shone on the stage with a magnificent Nativity performance last week. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them – from learning their lines and knowing their cues to their joyful, confident singing. 🥹🎶
A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful staff, who supported and guided our children to shine in the special St Gabriel’s way that they do. Their dedication and care make moments like this so special.
Thank you to all our parents, grandparents and friends who joined us all for a truly memorable celebration of the Christmas story.
We are so excited to see KS2 perform over the coming days. 💛💙
