It was brilliant to see so many of our students across different roles at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

We had recent graduates and current students across positions including:

-Stage techs
-Lighting assistants
-Recording assistants
-Backline techs
-Production assistants
-Sound assistants

and of course un-countable musicians and DJ's across the sites.

🎙️ Episode 2 of Creative Insights is out now!

This episode we speak to textiles artiste and storyteller Lizzie McDougall about her work gathering traditional Highland stories, tales about nature, history and fairies that have been passed down through generations.

Lizzie talks us through her creative process, from growing up in Edinburgh listening to Highland stories, to moving to the Highlands and setting up Moving Arts.

🎙️Creative Insights is back for series 2! 🎙️

Our video podcast diving into the minds of incredible artists across the Scottish Highlands is back for a brand-new series!

To kick things off, we sit down with award-winning author Philip Paris, writer of The Last Witch of Scotland (Waterstones’ 2024 Scottish Book of the Year) and his latest 17th-century novel, A Fire in Their Hearts.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at our Alness campus, Creative Insights is produced, filmed, and mixed by our fantastic sound production and filmmaking students!

A huge well done to our talented music students for their fantastic performances at Tea in the Tern, and thank you to everyone who came along to support them. It was brilliant to see so many people enjoying the live music and exploring our Music and Sound department.

Come and join us tomorrow in Alness for Tea in the Tern- a series of short performances from some of our music students, a chance to see the facilities and to speak to the Music and Sound Production staff!

Soup, tea and coffee is provided, plus the tuck shop will be open for snacks.
