Is the school doing anything for Children in Need?
According to Clacks Web all children should have been given a questionaire today in connection to childcare for key working staff etc, did anyone receive one?
Does anyone know if its xmas jumper day at school tomorrow?
Should the P1 children attending the afternoon with Santa tomorrow have received tickets or anything? Do they need to bring anything to school?
Would like to thank the Parent council for organising this mornings breakfast for the new P1 parents. Was great to meet other parents and meet some of the senior management team too.
How stressed is your child?
Are they secretly stressing about going back to school, making new friends or keeping up with the new term’s school work?
If so, make it easier for them this year. Enrol them for English and maths tuition, or reasoning skills development with MagiKats, and then watch their confidence soar and their school work improve.
Give your child the best possible start to the year! Whatever their age, whatever their ability contact MagiKats today and watch your child as they start to shine!
Part three in our series - older teens
Oops! Too many holiday treats?
Don’t despair – it’s not too late to get healthy. Start introducing one healthy, family meal at the table a day in the last week of the holidays, gradually building it up to three and reducing snacks by the end of the week.
By the first day of term, you should be back on the carrots and humous, not still buried in the sweet cupboard!
A healthy diet helps with learning, but if you need more help, you’ll find our English, maths and reasoning tuition affordable and convenient.
Friendship worries?
Is your child worried about making friends at the start of the new term? It can be one of the most stressful parts of the new school year.
Help your child make friends by organising some simple but fun get togethers. An after-school picnic, watching a film or a special day out at half term. It’s those moments together with their peers that can really help friendships form as well as give them something to look forward to.
Worried about school work? Have a look at our English, maths and reasoning tuition programmes!
Make going back to school easier with MagiKats!
As a child, going back to school can be daunting. But why not make it fun and exciting instead?
Organise a special event to celebrate the new term. Perhaps a ‘back to school’ BBQ, a beach day or a special day out. Invite their friends, make it fun and celebrate the end of the holidays in style!
How do you celebrate the end of the holidays? Share your ideas and your photos here! And don’t forget to check out our website if you need any help with tuition.

[06/08/21]   Due to covid restrictions, parents are being asked not to send in end of year teacher gifts. We know that parents want to thank their child’s teachers and key workers for all they have done this year so the parent council have worked with the staff to create an Amazon wish list. You can find the link in a previous post. We have also created some PayPal money pools that parents can contribute to, the money collected will be used to buy more expensive items that the teachers would love to have. Links can be found in the pinned post section of our page

[06/06/21]   More than one child at school or does your chid have multiple key workers/teachers? You can also show your appreciation for the staff at Redwell by contributing to our PayPal money pools. All of the money collected will go towards specific fun items requested by each section of the school and nursery. You can contribute via the links below

End of year thank you gifts.

As we reach the end of the school year many of us want to do something to thank the teachers and staff at Redwell for all of their hard work. Due to covid restrictions, sending in gifts is a but tricky. To help with this, the Parent Council have been working with the staff at Redwell to create an amazon Wishlist full of resources that the school would love to have for all the pupils. Staff are marking their Nursery group, Class or wing next to items they add so that you can find them easily. If you wish to buy something from the Wishlist, please put your Childs name and class in the 'gift note' to help it get to the right place. You can access the Wishlist below

[06/04/21]   Dear Parent/Carers

Can we remind all parents that mounting and parking on the pavement outside of the school is dangerous. We have had numerous parents say they are concerned for their little ones when passing the cars parked here.

Please leave plenty of time so that you can find a local parking space or use the time as an opportunity to walk, cycle or scoot.
Can you please ensure anyone picking up your child/children is aware of this message.

Many thanks for your understanding.

A new digital therapy in the form of a mobile app is now available for people in Forth Valley who are experiencing symptoms of worry and anxiety.

Known as Daylight, it uses science backed cognitive behavioural techniques to guide you through exercises to tackle your worries and feelings and address your fears so you feel more in control.

NHS and social care staff already have free access to Daylight and in partnership with the Scottish Government, NHS Forth Valley is one of the first health boards in Scotland, to extend this access to the public.

Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (otherwise known as CBT) has proved to be very effective in the treatment of many mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and stress. It targets unhelpful behaviours and thought patterns common in individuals experiencing these symptoms.

Accessing support through the new Daylight app early on should help people develop helpful ways to deal with worry and prevent the worsening of symptoms and the need for referral to specialist services, It also encourages people to self manage their condition.

Dr Sally Rankine, NHS Forth Valley’s Head of Adult Mental Health Psychology, said: “ We are delighted to be able to offer Big Health’s cognitive behavioural therapy app Daylight free to people across Forth Valley, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown leading to an increase in worry for many people.

Daylight allows local people to access CBT in their own time and at their own pace, listening and guiding them through learning and practising proven strategies for reducing worry and anxiety in their life.”

Daylight is available to adults (18+) and no referral needed.
