It was lovely to be part of an evening of festive music from Clackmannan District Brass Band, with some chat from me in between, a bit like Christmassy sandwich filling🤩🥳

After Halloween and All Saints Day comes All Souls Day.
I made my first ever soul cakes. Slightly spiced biscuits with currants and little crosses cut across the top. When children went ‘soulling’ the soul cakes were exchanged for prayers for the dead.

I love collaborating with other celebrants and it was great to work alongside Irene Gardner last night at the Remembrance Service at Stirlingshire Crematorium.

Having talked this morning about someone who fair enjoyed their coffee and a yum yum, it seemed like the right thing to do….even though it looks more like smoked mackerel….and by the way, I am not going to eat both of them 😮
