Simply Local Kincardine is a community group established with the help of a local charity, Action for Change, with the aim of undertaking projects in the village to improve health, the local environment and sustainability. We have chosen the development of a community growing space as the first project, and started work on developing system of raised beds in the former orchard within Tulliallan Po

lice College grounds. We want this to be a space in the village for the whole community to be able to access, grow fruit and veg together, and get to know one another better along the way. One of the aims of Simply Local Kincardine is to encourage involvement from other community groups, for example the local primary school, nursery and toddler group, to develop environmental and community awareness at all ages. We're still in early stages, getting funding and materials together, and hoping to get some raised beds built over the winter.
