⭐️End of biology tutoring for 2025-2026⭐️

Last week pupils across Scotland sat their biology exam and that marks the end of tutoring for this academic year!

It is such a joy to receive so many positive messages from parents and pupils about their experience of tutoring with myself. It's great to know that so many went into their exam with more understanding and confidence. Can't wait to hear how they all get on on results day!

Best of luck to all Scottish biology pupils sitting their exam tomorrow! 🧬👩‍🔬

Thank you to all the wonderful pupils and parents I have had the pleasure of working with this academic year. It's been lovely to see their confidence grow and to support such hardworking and dedicated pupils, it really makes tutoring such a joy!

Some tips for those sitting the exam tomorrow:

🧠 Don't spend too much time revising tonight
😴 Get a good night's sleep
😋 Make sure to eat a healthy breakfast
🫁 If you get nervous, do some breathing exercises
📝 Read every question carefully and try and answer them all
💪 Have confidence in yourself, you got this!

Let's talk prelims 👩‍🏫🧬

If they haven't yet, most biology pupils are doing their prelims this month. It can be a nerve wracking time but it is also a time to get support if they're struggling!

I am a scientist, mum and experienced biology tutor in Scotland and have helped many students grow in confidence, understanding and get the grades they want.

Thank you to all my pupils for their hard work in the lead up to Christmas. It can feel overwhelming and tiring, but they all smashed their sessions in time for their December/January prelims 🧬

I hope you and your families all have a wonderful, restful and blessed Christmas 🎄 filled with lots of presents, laughter and mince pies! 😋

Prague 🇨🇿

I am currently spending some much needed time with family in the beautiful city of Prague and am being extremely slow at replying to messages.

Christmas break and prelims are on their way! 🎄📝

This time of year can be stressful - organising presents, shopping, wrapping and (for pupils) revising for prelims in January!

I have Biology revision packs available for those who want one less thing to organise and worry about this Christmas. The packs have questions and diagrams covering all the SQA content. I believe it's important to have physical revision tools, this limits time on a screen, promotes active revision and limits distractions! That's why these packs are delivered by first class postage to your door 📮
