It was great to meet with Conor, Charlie, Ryan and their teacher Mr Mercer Lornshill Academy earlier this week to hear about their entry into the Institute of Civil Engineers’ CityZen competition.

Their idea of using Gartmorn Dam to develop a hydro energy scheme was very interesting and well thought out. I wish them the best of luck in the competition! 🤞🏻

Lornshill Academy Careers Event - Wednesday 13th Nov 4pm - 6pm
This is an opportunity for you to engage with local employers, universities and colleges about how to best support your young person into their next steps. They'll be a range of employers from a variety of different sectors such as: NHS, Scotrail, Trillium, Police and the Fire Brigade. along with representatives from a range of Higher Education providers such as Stirling University and Glasgow Caledonian University.
On this evening there will also be three workshops that you can attend alongside visiting the stalls. These workshops will be delivered by our partners and you can sign up for these through the attached Google Form. If your child is thinking about applying to Forth Valley College, University or Medicine in the future, the workshops will be able to provide detailed information into this process.
It would be great to see as many families as possible at this event (It is also encouraged that pupils attend).

A bit late posting, but what a fantastic start to the school year with 48 parents / carers joining our 'Parent Information Session' with Mr Black and Mr Taylor on Thursday evening. Great to have lots of S1 parent/carers joining in too.

Lots of information shared and a great discussion with Mr Taylor around S1-S3 blazers; a wider consultation is now planned.
Our next information session is on Tuesday 8th October - we hope you can join us 🤞

A reminder that we have a 'junior' race alongside the Gartmorn 6 race on March the 10th!

You must be aged between 8 and 15 to take part. It's a two mile course where fun (and mud!) is guaranteed!

Fully marshalled, chip timed, prize giving with and snacks and drinks served FOC afterwards at Sauchie Hall.
